"Disney Springs (previously known as Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village in 1975, Walt Disney World Village in 1977, Disney Village Marketplace in 1989, and Downtown Disney in 1997) is an outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, near Orlando. The complex opened on March 22, 1975, and has been expanded and renamed over the years. In 2013 plans were announced for a three-year renovation and expansion of the complex, and on September 29, 2015, the name officially changed to Disney Springs.
The 120-acre complex includes four distinct areas: Marketplace, The Landing, Town Center, and West Side. Buses and water taxis operated by Disney Transport provide transportation between Disney Springs and other areas of Walt Disney World."

I lived in Orlando for 6 months, I used to go a lot to Disney Springs. It's free, pretty, u can do some shopping.....

Disney Springs is fantastic! Free parking too in both parking garages for Guests. I particularly like the indoor section as it is like a very grand shopping mall!

Downtown Disney when I was there last. I can’t believe the transportation will not be free anymore😲. That was part of the convenience of staying at a resort ! You would for free go to downtown Disney for dinners and back to your room to freshen up and then on to any of the parks that you wanted to do next Any hour of the day wAs all conveniently free. Even from your airport & back to go home. Saved lots of money didn’t have to rent a car or inconvenient family. I know they still have a skylines that go to some of the resorts and back to the park. I like this place better than the Amusement theme park with All the Rides/Crowds,I never knew it was so interesting & Adult Themed[Bars,Boats,Shopping,& even the Food!].THX for a nice awakening!

There is also and I’m sure they showed you this as well, an AMC 24 screen theatre there and added the NBA experience there also. I went there in August 2018 and it was an experience to be sure.
