My father also had one, not new but a few years old at the time. Put many many miles on it from 97-99. One of my favourite pictures is me sitting on the sled in our yard when i was 2 or 3 years old

My buddy had one, helped him get it unstuck a couple of times. Loved the rotary valve motors.

They are tanks…I’m not sure what sucks worse, trying to start one with the small OEM recoil…..or getting one unstuck.

I had the identical 96 F3 600 in behind him. Got it in 96 when I graduated high school

The one behind it is the elusive 95.5 Purple Screamer…..1 of 500 built

I had the economy variant of this, the 95 Formula SS 670. Smaller carbs, single pipe, manual disc brake. It still was a super fun sled to ride.

There is definitely a direct correlation between owning a 95/96 Mach 1 and shoulder surgery lol

Love the collection bud, I have a 94,97 and 00 mach 1. Some of my favorite sleds! Please go through your prs collection, would love to see your examples as nice ones are so very hard to find! Thanks again for making these videos, my sons watch with me and love vintage sleds like myself 👌

Love the Mach 1’s. I will definitely go through the PRS X sleds at some point too. We will talk about my 92 Mach 1 X with 80 original miles on it.😉

Another awesome review, what was the HP on the 670 with twin pipes, 130-135? Thanks.

      125hp

They were probably closer to 125-130 in stock form.

@@skidoojunky6230 Wow that's a lot for that era, and same as the later 670 HO single pipe. I always drooled over these twin piped ones though. I think standard single piped 670 was 115-118 hp which was still a great motor.

95-96 are dream sleds of mine, my first mach 1 was a 92 that I ride for 4 years, when it was time to upgrade skidoo had just released the new 700 triple in the ck3 chassis, I bought that mach 1 in 98 and have never even driven a 95-96

Thanks for the video Dustin, looking forward to more! I have 2 95s, they do sound like a beast. I just never could get too excited about them because of that 95 colour scheme, I think a 96 is a better looking sled, but to each his own. Otherwise they are equal. Keep the videos coming!

Agreed….the 96’s had way better looking graphics but not many of them were made because everyone wanted a Formula 3 600 in 96

In 99'-00' I had the 95' Formula Z 583 and that thing was a beast but heavy as f***, if u got it stuck u was gonna be there for a minute or 2 lol. If u have one of those could u give us a little history lesson about that model? Love the collection, thanks for sharing

Whats the hp of the 670 twin pipe?? And would you say its faster then a 95.5 f3??

    • @skidoojunky6230
      @skidoojunky6230  15 дней назад +1

If memory serves me correctly I believe they were around 120-125hp. If set up correctly they would run right with the 95.5 Form III.

Love this series of videos your doing! 1 thing, if possible would be to open up the hood and get a view of the engine bay on your sleds. Other than that, great job!!

The 95 mach 1 was kinda overlooked here in upstate NY over the triples. Really was a better trail sled than the ski doo triples it was lighter and made great power. Was a great looking sled to loved the graphics. I was only 15 in 95 rode a Polaris back in the 90’s. Had 89 500 95 500 95 XCR 600 and a 95 storm. But in 89 my father had a formula plus his friend had a mach 1 another the MX. 89 mach 1 wasn’t that fast compared to the plus MX wasn’t far behind the plus. Be 123 down the lake about a sled length or 2 all about the hole shot. The 89 MX my father bought from his buddy for me in 90. In 89 his buddies bought the 90 mach 1 dad bought 650 indy. The 90 mach 1 was fast around same speed as the Indy 650. I new all brand and most models but over looked the 670 the formula 3 and mach Z over shadowed it lol!!
97 we rode a MXZ 670 then my father and i got thinking twin was the future and it was. Father bought a 700xc Polaris in 98 then i bought a 2000 800 rmk first 800 twin. In 03 father bought 800 rev but i bought firecat. Been cat ever since started racing factory cat sleds. But father has some ski doo today great sleds.
Great video always fun looking back to the sleds i grew up on or around. Snowmobiling was a different world than today lucky i got to experience it. So many great memories over the years but think my best trail memories were in the 90’s.
