There was a Link to the Past fan animation that was made 8 yrs ago, Todd Haberkorn was the actor who voices Link. Known for voicing Yun (SF4), to me his voice is pretty legit. Zelda on the other hand was voiced by Kira Buckland. If Sooga's voice actor was different then Gerald C. Rivers should have been the one who will voice Ganondorf in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. What do you think?
@@headcanonvoices9794, which character voice clips did you source from Fire Emblem Heroes, Overlord, takt op. Destiny, Re:Zero, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, My Hero: One's Justice 2, Our Last Crusade and the Rise of a New World, One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, Mob Pyscho 100, Angels of Death, Love Live Sunshine, Omega Strikers, Genshin Impact, Bleach and Space Dandy for the video?
Here's some detailed thoughts on all the casting choices I made! Link - Erik Kimerer is actually a funny story here, because I cast him specifically because I went to his panel at a con and got to ask the question "if you could play any character, who would you play?" and he said Link, specifically citing Hyrule Warriors Link because he was voicing a lot of the same characters as Yuki Kaji at the time. Basically this is me paying things forward, plus I think it fits him really well here. Other Links I think would be voiced by different actors for the record. Zelda/Sheik - Alexis Tipton has a very mature and princess-ly vibe that I think this specific Zelda really exudes. Funny thing is that I was stuck on what clips to use for Sheik for a while before remembering "oh yeah Lucina did this too didn't she". I can't go through these videos without a really funny coincidence cropping up. Impa - Allegra Clark has a really cool mature voice, it was easy picking. Though again, I didn't think there'd be a specific ninja variant of the voice reference I wanted. Fire Emblem Heroes really just gives me too much to work with and it's always on accident. Ganondorf - This is my favorite Ganondorf design and I think it fits in a Warriors game to have him be voiced by Lu Bu himself, Jamieson Price, who has one of those fantastic booming, terrifying, charismatic voices that I love. I used Lordgenome from Gurren Lagann because I think their energy is very similar. Lana/Cia - I needed someone who could play both high pitched and perky, and lower and sinister, and I really liked Anairis Quinones, who can do those voices while still sounding very distinct. Amanda Lee was also considered cuz of Lana's idol vibes. Darunia - If you need a big burly man voice, Patrick Seitz is just an easy picking. Ruto - She comes across as very "girly" and casual to me and I really like the idea of Erika Harlacher playing her, with Ann Takamaki as the reference clip getting some of that energy across. Midna/Twili Midna - Sarah Anne Williams HAD to be Midna for me, she was the very first decision I made and was the main reason I chose HW specifically for a Zelda video. She's perfected the impish gremlin voice IMO. I had less to work with for easy audio of the Twili form's mature demeanor but I think having some of that higher pitch but being much more composed and mature works very well for her. Agatha - Tia Ballard has a high pitched voice that can be very unnerving when she wants to be. I'm not actually a fan of Overlord but remembering that Tia played a character whose whole thing is bugs there made that a very easy audio clip to get, even if the loud music made editing it a pain lol. Fi - There's a lot of actors who do deadpan voices I considered like Ryan Bartley, Michelle Ruff, and Brina Palencia, but my friends suggested Emi Lo and I liked what I heard of them in takt op enough to agree that they fit Fi's energy rather well. Volga - Volga feels specifically "gruff" to me so I needed someone with some gravel in his voice. He was actually the last one I cast but Jason Marnocha's got that energy I think he should have. Wizzro - He feels like a devilish, wicked goblin type of guy to me, and Brian Beacock has a lot of that energy, especially in the clip I had already gotten for him for a previous video, so he was an easy one for me. Zant - Kellen Goff is a vocal wizard who can go from intimidating to high pitched wild at the drop of a hat, this was very easy. If anything I wish I found audio that showed off his spectrum at higher extremes because the difference between like, his Diavolo in JoJo to his voices for FNaF encapsulate Zant's manic energy perfectly. Ghirahim - Daman Mills just feels perfect for me, he's a natural fit for the effeminate self-absorbed villain type. If anything I'm annoyed how hard it was to find a clip for him, he should be given more of these characters because he'd be perfect for them. Young Link - I felt like a more experienced voice actress for "kids" would work really well for a child Link so Tara Jayne Sands felt like a great pick for him. For the record, I'd cast Ocarina of Time's Adult Link as Yuri Lowenthal. Tingle - There's a LOT of directions you can take his voice but I liked the angle of "creepy uncle" and with no offense to the man, Michael Sorich can do that kind of performance a lot of justice, especially using Dimple from Mob Psycho 100 as a reference. Skull Kid - A creepy kid performance is a lot of fun to find and Brittney Karbowski's performance in Angels of Death hit the exact kind of creepy that I wanted for Skull Kid. Definitely immature but still clearly sinister. Marin - She has a very pleasant, youthful vibe and Jad Saxton is just good at playing that sort of wistful energy, I think. Toon Link - Casey Mongillo has a very gender-neutral voice range that I think works really well for Toon Link, a character who sort of needs a voice that sounds youthful but not necessarily a child. Fun fact, almost used Casey for Young Link, but decided they worked better for Toon. Tetra - Erica Mendez is a go-to for the tomboy types and I think she's just an easy choice for Tetra. This does mean she would play WW's Zelda as well, which her range can easily work with. I do believe in lore the Toon Zelda in this game is a different one, though, so I cast them differently. King of Hyrule - He's big and burly and important and that's just an easy choice for Chris Sabat and his legacy, I feel. Medli - Very down to earth (ironically) vibes that made me want to go with someone youthful and a bit energetic but not TOO much. Megan Shipman hit the exact vibe I wanted. Toon Zelda - I think that having a bit of a prim and proper voice for the Zelda that gets caught in a suit of armor makes for a very fun contrast and I think Felecia Angelle is great at having that very high-manner vibe to her, while also being great at the comedic vibes inherent to the toon games. Ravio - Okay so this one was hard not because of Ravio himself but because of the spoiler implications of who else would share his voice. Ultimately though, Bryce Papenbrook fit him so well for me that I had to just accept the implications if I ever do a future Zelda video that involves him. Yuga - A very difficult one for me to choose because I needed someone sinister and with the exaggerated femininity that this character embodies. It took a while but Doug Erholtz and his plethora of fun villains made me decided he would be a great choice for the sinister warlock type. Linkle - I was actually sold on Lizzie Freeman because of her fantastic performance in Lycoris Recoil...but admittedly got too lazy to hunt for audio that didn't have loud music or the like so I used a Genshin reference I got from another video, ha ha. But yeah the youthful energy that Lizzie showed off in Lycoris is EXACTLY what I'd want out of Linkle so she was perfect. Great Fairy - Threw in a couple NPCs of note and thought she'd be a fun one. It was tricky finding the exact kind of ephemeral vibe that's somewhere between seductive and powerful and kinda creepy I wanted and Cindy Robinson ended up being the one I found most interesting for her. Proxi - Zelda fairies feel like they need very high voices and Monica Rial is a really easy pick for that. For the record if I included Navi she'd likely be Mela Lee. BONUS - Groose - Okay so I don't know if I'll ever do another Zelda video let alone a Skyward Sword one but I NEEDED to do Groose. The big himbo energy was too powerful and Ian Sinclair is a master of comedic himbos, Space Dandy being the big one, so it was important to me to include him. Fun fact I think he's the only character in these I've played extra background music behind, just for the extra touch. And again to be clear - I don't even play Fire Emblem Heroes it's just that it has like, everyone I know in it, and it's really easy to get 30 seconds of audio out of it. Apologies if it's jarring, ha ha.
Good casting choice for the characters in a Zelda game. Can you also do headcanon voices for Kirby characters, or Classic and Original Megaman characters(Megaman 1-10, Megaman 1-5 for Gameboy, and Megaman and Bass), please?
Ganondorf, Midna(s), Agatha, Y Link, Skull Kid, Tetra, Toon Zelda, Ravio, Yuga, Linkle and Fi are really fitting. Wizzro, Marin and Ghirahim are fitting as well in a way but not as much as the others. But I can imagine those voice actors might nail their personality. Just my opinion tho. Great work!
@@headcanonvoices9794Could you also do one for the Super Mario Bros. Characters too (but WITHOUT Charles Martinet, I like the guy but I prefer to hear another actor that can voice mario too). No pressure

My favorite is Midna because you found a voice actress that can sound like an impish trickster AND the exact opposite.
Glad you're back! I never thought I'd see the day where you would do Hyrule Warriors.
I basically just work on these whenever I feel like it so my schedule is just "when I'm less lazy to get the audio clips" lol. Summer helps on that.
