The goal doesn't matter all that matters is speed.
I swear, when i read or hear about speed runners doing stuff like this, I can't help but truly admire the dedication. Also, it feels like they make a completely different game, like turning a survival horror into some kind of crazy complex version of a puzzle game with no certain win condition.

ive also heard that if you wait in your apartment for a long enough time due to covid you can skip to chapter 13 in life. you might break your hands a few times while punching the walls to keep zero g on your way to becoming invincible immortal
Theres a speedrun to get a star in Super Mario Sunshine (i forget if its vanilla 100% or not) where you do some object manipulation that teleports you to the sky box.... however the skybox is SUPER HIGH and you had to fall for 30 minutes to and hour or more just to land on a hovering star above a building
I swear the number of games WaifuRuns can speedrun and know about in community is amazing

IIRC, the drill section was either right before, or right after the free save you got on the Hard to the Core run.

The suit does the same thing as half life it reduces your health and in this case the oxygen

So what dead space is the most broken for glitches out of the whole trilogy

Turn vsync off on the pc port of dead space 1 you get 60fps but the game crashes more and sometimes you'll stumble on a body spinning into the nth realm of nazaroth

I know this will be unpopular but im actually kind of sad to see this. I enjoy watching speedruns usually. The knowledge of how a game works and what will happen in the future allowing you to find the most optimal way to play the game. This doesn't feel anything like that. The logic used here may as well he a hacker getting the game to play the ending cutscene. It isn't deadspace anymore

I like how most of these people are complaining about glitches in a Speedrun, the point is to beat the game as fast as possible. If you don't want glitches look at the glitchless Speedrun catagorie
People who complain about glitches aren't going to bother watching glitchless (especially since it takes longer and is usually rng dependent) they just want to impose idiotic rules on a community having fun

While I'm not a doctor, I don't see how people can call it 'surgery' when they use things like anesthesia and calipers. In my opinion, this is unfair and borderline cheating, and I don't really see why people want this. Yeah, it's fast and efficient, but it's not what the designer of the body intended so I'm not sure if it should count.
@@kvltrites4534 I think its more that when people hear "Speedrun" it implys that they went though the game as fast as possible in the normal way. I.E no glitches. I infact had this issue when i first learned of speedrunning and i was pissed when i saw the game get glitched though rather than played though. Now if it had been titled "Glitchrun" or something to that effect id have had no problem with it but because of how the title sounded i felt lied to. Now i have no ill feelings for glitchrunners and the like, you do you bro, but I do feel like the term "Speedrun" should mean exactly that. A plain old speed run though the game.

Thanks to glitches being extremely arbitrary 'glitchless' is a contentious title that varies per game, but for the most part people don't watch them because theyre inconsistent and rng dependent most of the time

If he succeeds in making you interested in watching a speedrun -related video about a game which you've never experienced yourself, then he has done his job right.
On this note, waifu if you're seeing this then I just want you to know that you're going in the right direction and this channel is gonna blow one day if you keep up doing videos in the current manner, obviously in addition to you having fun while doing so.

If you like survival horror, it's very possibly the best I've ever played in the genre. The atmosphere, the gunplay mechanics, progression, baked-in diagetic UI, monster variety, it's all just phenomenally done.
(I've never played the third game, but I 100% vouch for the first two)
I'm always curious about what specifically led to a discovery of some skip/trick and I have to say that this one probably takes the cake so far. I've never ever seen such long and convoluted setup but the result is just brilliant. Thank you for making this video.
