Lakeside was my father in law's favorite. He listened to them clean up to his last day on Earth. He passed away on yesterday. I love him dearly. God Rest His Soul 🙏

The way this song culminates at the course is absolutely amazing. They keys with the guitar and that bass line is one of the best in history of ANY genre. " We just want you to feel nothing but pleasure, musical pleasure," I can honestly say they have achieved their goal with this one and its 40 plus years ago. I mean this song is 4 years older than me! Goes to show ya, a true classic NEVER dies!

Yes it took me back, we here in Australia 🇦🇺 love the funk music! Coming out of 🇺🇸 & it all started with soul train where we were introduced to awesome musician & bands then the US military came along & really showed us some of the moves grooves it was like Xmas with all the bells & whistles ha heaps a fun those days were dancing 💃🏽 to good music I was also in the Military so we were exposed to all the latest jams 🕺🏽👌🏽

Well they did but the business is based on currant not the past. I went to school with these guys and my cousin played lead guitar for Slave. We all had parents who got us all the instruments we needed to stay the hell out of trouble. This is what happens to kids who listen to the parents and learn to flip the music lessons into something funky. This is why voting matters. Bush took all the music out of schools and civics too. You cant find anyone who can play anything anymore because they think DJs are musicians lol

Remember this song before I graduated high school in 1974. During the summer on Sunday we gather on the Rez ( Reservoir) in Jackson, Ms. and blow this music up on the loudest speakers. That’s when life was really enjoyable. Everyone was just chillin and having a good time. 200 to 300 people.
