I love the fact that there is no celebrity status hierarchy when it comes to the casting of a Tarantino movie. I suppose for the actors themselves, just being considered is a high honour in itself.
Even when DiCaprio is just chuckling beside Samuel L Jackson as he's doing his tirade thing, he looks like Oscar winning material: like he's sitting there doing the role of a life time. He just looks like a movie star, even when he isn't in a movie.

I know what you mean, there are directors/screen-writers whose work often has a "supernatural" aspect to it, Sergio Leone is one and so is his (although we may not have seen it at the time) acolyte, Clint Eastwood ...and Stanley Kubrick, to name another...and Tarantino makes four and if you look at the movies they make they all seem to lean heavily upon three concepts: Justice, violence and change and always with a hint of inevitability about the Justice. All the guilty will suffer and sometimes the innocent too because violence begets violence but the guilty WILL ALWAYS suffer, it's inevitable...and that's where the supernatural slips into their stories because, coincidentally, that's exactly how God does things...
I'm a girl and I loved Django Unchained. To me, it feels like a fairytale, like Django was Cinderella and Dr. King was the fairy godmother that gave him the tools to set himself free. And their relationship as mentor and mentee was so sweet. I cried when Django returned and said Auf Wiedersen to Dr. King's corpse. Watching Django destroy Candieland and get his princess was awesome. Django surpassed his master and became a legend himself. Yes it was a movie about slavery, but like Kerry was talking about we got to see a former slave empowered and be his own hero and that was flipping awesome. This movie was entertaining and touching and I loved it. A lot more than Tarantino's other works in fact.

I loved this movie...but I must say every movie that I see Leo in I sort of respect his talent more and more...I thought he would be buried under the incredible Samuel Jackson...but he stood his own...he was not overshadowed a bit...I think he may have outshine Jamie.........In Titanic I wasn't raving about him...cause I thought he got a great movie..that was impossible to mess up...but since than ..I gotta say more power to Leo...he is an incredible actor.
Just wanna shout out to Walton Goggins... He plays every role all the way! Whenever my wife talks about him, she just says "you know, your favourite". I love it when an actor is nothing like the roles they play. Would love to see him lead something one day!! I reckon he could blow us away!
One question I would have wanted to ask Leo is how badly it hurt when he unintentionally slammed his hand down on that glass towards the end of the movie. The fact that he kept going and played it off as if it were meant to happen was purely amazing.
That was an incredibly honest movie , scary , brutal and excellent actors who brought it to the extremes of the reality of that era . Hats off to all of the cast !

Sensational - I could listen to QT and his respective cast all day! The actors always have so much positivity towards him, his script and the process; it's almost like QT is voted the MVP for his particular sport - and that seems to be every time. The actors love him! "He asked me to play one of his characters, Hell, I'd be an extra for him if that's what he wanted".
He was original cast as a bigger part but couldn’t because he was shooting another movie, he wrote Quentin a letter telling him what an honor it was to even be considered by him, then Quentin created a role that Jonah could do that fit his schedule. That’s why he’s barely in the movie.

The hateful 8 is such an underrated movie. That movie was the first time I realized Quentin Terantino is a fucking genius, I hadnt listened to such brilliant dialogue in my entire life. I think the first Tarantino movie I ever seriously watched. The movie doesnt have huge production value but man o' man the performances and writing were just so good.

I agree 100% with Kerry Washington. This movie was about a love story and about a powerful black man taking power back from those who took it from him. I LOVE Django Unchained. What a great movie and what a sweet movie. The love story between Django and Broomhilda was perfect. The bloodspatter was a bit excessive, but so what.

I would give absolutely anything to be in a Tarantino movie. His movies are such masterpieces. There's almost a supernatural quality to his stories.

You seen _Jackie Brown_ ? I think that might still rank as Tarantino's most sentimental film. It's like he wrote a love letter to Pam Grier and it made him tone all his macho excesses way, way down.

It’s so crazy to see Walton talk so eloquently. I’m so used to seeing him play the big mouth dope. I think he’s one of the most underrated and overlooked actors that’s been in Hollywood for a long ass time.
Truth
Every time Leo puffs his face is when he's trying his hardest to hold back a laugh. I love this. Perfect movie and great interview!
Jonah hill feels so out of place in this movie but then at the same time it’s a perfect role for him to be playing. When I saw him the first time watching Django I it felt surreal seeing him in it.

Definitely
A lot of geniuses appear socially awkward. Just my opinion, of course.
They usually are, the bigger the genius the more awkward they are.
what is so fascinating about his awkwardness is it makes you wonder how a man like that writes such intense and diverse characters
@@rodrigolaleyenda4163 it is because he writes such pure characters in the story that builds such intensity because you feel like they exist in the timeline.
Compared to if someone wrote the same movie and gave the characters ideologies that exist now in the 21st century would ruin the movie.
This movie showed me how difficult acting is
T Stanton acting isn't difficult at all. Sometimes your co actors and relationships with them is. But acting is cake walk for an actor. I can play any character and I have fun doing it. The only character I never want to play is one that does anything to children. I couldn't act that part.
