Mapped with MadMapper. Video content made with Adobe After Effects with some 3d elements in C4D. Character puppets made in Photoshop and animated in Character Animator (many thanks to @okaysamurai for the amazing tutorials). I had a blast designing this show ahead of Hocus Pocus 2 releasing on Disney+.

It was my first time trying to make a 'character-based' show. It sure was a lot of work but also a lot of fun. I love those crazy Sanderson Sisters ❤️

This is amazing! This is the type of stuff I want to project onto my house. Could you PLEASEEE do a video series on how you made this??? How did you created the characters and animations?
I could give you no better advice than to go and check out @okaysamurai's channel. I followed all his amazing tutorials to learn Adobe Character Animator and make the characters. He's brilliant

Brilliant! Curious which elements you designed in C4D? (cauldron? bubbles?) BTW ~ thanks. You know what they say about imitation and flattery, I'm already making puppets. C4D is a bit pricey so I'm using Blender, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects for the rest?
Sounds like some great software options that will take you far. C4D was, yes, the cauldron, the house and contents, not the bubbles (that was AE) and actually that's it. I intended for it to look very 2D

What do you use to animate your events?
After Effects mainly. Sometimes Cinema 4D for 3D stuff

@@carlc4856 That would be a long ol' tutorial since these animations are more complex than the ones in that tutorial. But maybe I could break-down elements from it 😁 For learning Character Animator, I really can't recommend Okay Samurai channel highly enough 👍

How did you even do this. Im new to this. Where did you even find the characters and if you made them how? This is awesome.
For a general overview to the whole process of house mapping, I’d recommend my intro series starting here: House Projection Mapping for Beginners 1/10 Introduction

Awesome! Did you use new projector for this or run the dual setup?

@@LumaBox A projector with lets say 6k lumen is costly, what's your thought on stacking an Optima 3200 lumen or the like in regards to a more vivid color output?
@@carlc4856 I'm afraid I'm not too hot on the science of light and colour. You do get gains from stacking but it's not proportional unfortunately i.e. we don't perceive 2x lumens overlayed at 2x as bright. I do it though - I stack a 2200 lumens and a 3800 lumen projector because I happen to have both projectors and wanted the gains. BUT overlaying is made much easier by the method I use which involves MadMapper so I can get the mapping very precise and I can use the same content from both projectors. It would be a massive headache if you're using the outline method.

@@Nola_Juju Now that's a gooood question. There should be shouldn't there?! 😅Some things do exist as nice package-able graphics and one day I will try to get them in the shop. The characters/puppets won't be one of those things though, if that's what you had in mind
