It's just very difficult to find music now where artists are as devoted and emotionally connected to the music, like older artists could. But they're there. You just need to look and not judge too quickly. This happens in every musical decade. I absolutely hate mainstream pop from the 70s and 80s. I think it's as bad as modern music. But artists and bands like The Cure were the underlying artists that produced incredible music that was unique and they weren't in the mainstream pop. Keep in mind that there are artists now in the modern day that produce good music, and like The Cure they just may not be mixed in with the crap they play on the radio.

We managed to fit him in between two girls in the back of the very tiniest car I went in the front because I was always the tallest and they decide to do mushrooms and I didn’t do anything because hey when am I gonna have Robert Smith know to talk to them that we went to Jerry’s house and she’s the best piano player ever so she was playing piano and I was late must been late pretty late and a roommate comes in and goes why are you guys being so wowed and then is that Robert Smith on your bed he’s like hello turns out her boyfriend Tim from England they had known each other which was kind of cute and Robert Had me call the management and they were saying don’t you realize he’s worth a lot of money and I said hey Robert you’re worth a lot of money and Robinson said OK pick two streets the down intersection tell them that’s warrior so I did and anyway we ended up taking him back to the hotel and going and hanging out there it was like a huge it was like a Caverness sweet can’t remember which hotel it was I mean I would think it would be the kabuki but I don’t know anyway and Simon The Cures bass player says ‘We missed Club Smith tonight” I enquired well it was apparently Robert Wood play interesting fun song for a ready I learned a secret there about a band called the Go-Go’s and then he just he just talked about how it is to tour and how he gets really you’re nervous at each place and I said your life kind of sounds like the Bowie song ‘Panic in Detroit’ He said he Had actually Panicked in Detroit! He said he didn’t listen to much other music because he finds it creeps into his writing of music sometimes’. Anyway next year I I saw one of my industry friends and I said hey did Robert Smith have fun with us and she said yeah you had a great time you don’t know I said no wet he’s a yeah he wrote a song about all you girls on kiss me kiss me kiss me it’s called a snake pit and he sat and I just have one to say parts say is that he says he’s riding in the car thinking it’s Christmas with these stupid girls but in England stupid me it’s kind of silly so we were being very silly and make him say words like tuna in his little English accent it’s such a lovely man and I love that the photos of him singing that I think it’s a hunky-dory song with Bowie! He left His jacket in the car with his Robert Smith laminate which I was flaccid some of the goth I asked him to play Charlotte sometimes for me and he said he would I don’t know if he just plays that anyway but I love that song and I love him and I really love that big wreck trusted me to get them home safely and I did did
