Unpopular opinion: Gary Holt is a technically overrated guitarist
well, at least he's energetic while performing. Unlike the Tosin Abasi type of guitarists (no offense for Tosin's fans) just standing robot shredding the guitar without emotions and moves

I caught one of Jeff Hanneman's picks back in 2005 and lost it in a cab on a ride from the venue to the train station. Man, I went through some tough shit in life, but I tell you, I've never been more bummed than I was when I lost that pick.

I like how Kirk taught Gary but Gary is so much better than him
Gary may be faster than Kirk but Kirk just writes more memorable solos. Just RTL, MOP and AJFA blow away everything Holt has done.

I had 2 Hondo guitars: a left hand start and a right handed star that I turned upside down. I put Shaller machine heads on both. Both were cherry red. I took the hardware off the start and eventually gave it to a friend who was also left handed. They both played really nice and sounded awesome
