- Pleasure Island Family Theme Park was a theme park in Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire, England. It was commonly known as Pleasure Island. The park opened on 27 May 1993. It was originally a subsidiary of Flamingo Land Ltd. Pleasure Island became independent of Flamingo Land in May 2010 and was owned and operated by DewarSavile Enterprises Ltd until closing at the end of the 2016 season. Only McCormack's Family Bar continued in business, reopening in 2017.
Heartbreaking. It was a wonderful theme park and I enjoyed going there when I went to Lincolnshire on holiday

Went here when i was a kid great memories everything you looked at i played on or visited it was a lovely place to go a few years ago

My (now ex) hubby worked on Pleasure Island as parts of it were being dismantled and we lived in the next town at the time. I took my son and the dog for a wander on the beach and to have a look at the place. He was about 8 years old at the time and decided to jump the fence to find his dad. I messaged his dad to say our son was coming to find him. He instantly replied not to let him do that as there were guard dogs roaming the site.... but it was too late - he was already out of sight. Well, that was a terrifying 15 minutes! Luckily his dad found him before any tragedy!
I really liked this video, despite so little being left. I saw a video of this park recently by your fellow explorer Tazer. When he explored the park there were more rides there, but your video was good as the park looked even more eerie and ghostly. The difference was quite surreal, so thank you for posting this video. It also good to see the part of the park that was still in use. I also liked how at the start of the video, how it went from the ad of the park in its heyday to how it was at the time you filmed it 😉
Oh man I am from Grimsby and would love a good wander round in here. I already captured my drone footage for it. I bet it would be packed with nostalgia for me.

If it hadn’t closed then, it would have done this year. Lots of tourist attractions are struggling thanks to Covid-19
