It can be pretty unforgiving yeah. But you don't have to use contrasts, you can thin down your regular paints, or use inks, or AP speed paints. It's more down to using what is readily available/cost effective for the individual. The main thing is there is no wrong answer to what you use for the approach and choosing one of the other doesn't make you better or worse. It's still down to practice and personal preference :)

Slap chop ain't new. Its a quick zenithal way of painting miniatures that's been done for decades. Let's rename a paint brush to a Ginsu Knife.
