I was armenia here, this was my first time ever trying out an all cav army so I was a bit slow on my micro and the reason why the cav battle seemed so small towards the end was because I peeled off 2 units of cataphracts into the city that destroyed the selucid arty at 16:58 u could see the cav movement but they died before u got to see em in action

you did fine! would’ve been sweet if you sandwiched them while they were running, so that as you “trap them” the artillery can shoot the mass troops in the middle with both cav on each side. overall great gameplay!

The attackers did a really impressing job at the start and then completely screwed up the last bit .
Looks like the king found out that the archers were secretly using his harem and sacrificed them .
Hey Apollo! I'd like you to check out the Para Bellum mods. It's a part-by-part mod with sick skins and a different combat system. I'm hoping you could arrange a siege battle with this.

@@thebactrian7 DEI is an entirely different animal. A more challenging in a good way kind of campaign overhaul mod. But for just a multiplayer battle I'd use Para Bellum, it doesn't stray too far from vanilla.
I wish he would check out the Belenos: combat mod.
Gives the units weight and also completely changes the way units interact in a battle.

With the amount of cav used in this match it is almost like my match where I used Massagetae in a siege battle.
It would be odd that you see a 3v3 then each player does full infantry, then full cav, then arty or archers
2000 years ago the gauls where realy crazy about horses, it was a status symbol for the gauls .( like now , the rich people have the best cars ) They only both the best horses available ad the time. This is why Ceasar in every campange took ally gaul cav with him. Romans themselves lac cav ! nice battle

Whenever i attack i just got shot to pieces by archers and my swords never manage to take the walls
Don’t attack in waves, don’t play factions who die to missiles easily as a new player.
Odrysians, Lusitani and Arevaci are the big three of “DO NOT PLAY THESE IF YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND THE GAME”, because they have tons of really fucking strong units that die immediately to missile fire.
Play a safe faction. Galatia is a really good one to start with.
Don’t attack in waves, move your entire army close so you can reinforce immediately into breaches.

I would have to disagree with Apollo on this one, the game was lost for the attackers around halfway through when they had destroyed a good portion of Carthage and killed two generals. Just about any time the attackers were flanked past then they broke without the generals.
