Why is it being said that battery is capable of sinking? Battery demands a sinking ccurrent? I need explanation as I m not able to correlate it what sir has said with the theory. Anyone please.

When Prof. says battery is Sinking current and demanding sinking current, it implies the battery is deprived/low on charge and is therefore in charging mode i.e. current and therefore charge is flowing into the battery to charge it up.
