Wanda's expressions are priceless. Like I can just feel the thoughts of "the f**k is wrong with this girl's world? the f**k is wrong with the other little girl? What the hell"
For those who hasn't played the Sumeru quest: The sages of the Akademiya, believed Lesser Lord Kusanali was not as great as Lord Rukkhadevata. They believed she is a false god. So they imprisoned her. For years the sages were trying to make a new god as their ultimate goal. The Fatui supported this and supplied the sages with technologies and equipment to do so. It is as apart of the Doctor's little experiment. The Balladeer, aka Scaramouche, was selected as the new god. Using the Electro Gnosis, they were able to construct a new god. The traveler found out about the truth and worked together with several people to free Nahida. (I am quite uninformed on what happened as I didn't play the quest myself and only watched people's gameplay, though I skipped most of it and went straight to the execution of the plan). In the end, the sages were able to be stopped and Nahida was freed. Though the new god was already constructed, but luckily he hasn't fully became a god (hadn't got divinity yet). In the end, the traveler and Nahida defeated him. Using both of the Dendro Gnosis and the Electro Gnosis, Nahida was able to access the last memory of Rukkhadevata. Nahida and the traveler went into the place Irminsul is at (though I believe it wasn't the real Irminsul, as they just entered the last memory of Rukkhadevata). There, the last remaining consciousness of Rukkhadevata stood. It is believed that Rukkhadevata had died 500 years ago, at the exact time Nahida was born. Rukkhadevata was the avatar of Irminsul, or the embodiment of Irminsul itself. She shares the same mind as Irminsul. Thousands of years ago, King Deshret introduced Forbidden Knowledge into his domain. Forbidden Knowledge, however, begin to corrupt the people and caused catastrophic damage. Rukkhadevata came from the forest and helped. Priests built temples all across the desert, and Rukkhadevata fueled each temple with her power to eradicate Forbidden Knowledge. King Deshret sacrificed himself to help her. Forbidden Knowledge, however, will never be eradicated. Thanks to Rukkhadevata and King Deshret, the outbreak was safely contained or had receded significantly. However, during the Cataclysm, a second outbreak had begun. When the Seven was summoned to Khaenri'ah, Rukkhadevata remained within Irminsul to protect it from Forbidden Knowledge's corruption. Though her efforts were in vain, as Irminsul itself had been corrupted. So does Rukkhadevata, as she is connected to Irminsul. Even though she had died, her memories are still inside Irminsul, thus Forbidden Knowledge still exist. Rukkhadevata, in her last moments, took a pure branch from Irminsul, and made that branch into Nahida. She then left clues for her to eventually figure out. Nahida in the end was able to crack the puzzle and found Rukkhadevata. In the end, she erased Rukkhadevata and replaced her with herself. Now the people think Rukkhadevata never existed. All the deeds she did in the past were not forgotten though, the only changed is that Nahida is now the one who did all those deeds. Nahida and Rukkhadevata are the same person in a sense. Nahida is essentially Rukkhadevata's clone. She is Rukkhadevata but isn't at the same time. Both are different individuals with different fates and experiences. The only thing they share is appearance, voice, and all other physical attributes.
