The Sir Nicholas content is giving me so much joy😂 i just love the fact that Jenna has a companion after being alone for a while..its so nice to see you happy Jenna..many blessings for 2024
I feel the same here! ❤
It's been less than a year since she got divorced
@@orionstargazeso? she can date if she wants to 😭
It's not like she was in mourning. @@orionstargaze
Best way to get over it is get back on the horse 🤷♀️
I'm not one to comment on videos usually but Benson giving paw warms my heart, the sweetest thing 💗
He was just taught it a few months ago so that’s all he does now 😂
I was like: what do you mean you don't need a paw Jenna? Ofc you need a paw :D
Omg a fiber library!!!??? Thats so cool 🥺
+
yes I want to go RN
I know! We don't have them where I live
I’m living for sir Nick’s laugh. It’s so great 😂
It's very much like the UK comedian Jimmy Carr.
OMG it is!
Totally agree
@@MerriwenI came to to comments to say this too 😝
We love a supportive boyfriend 🥺
ummm... i would rather want to have a supportive GIRLFRIEND or Wife
@@skdhak739 they meant that they love that SHE(the video creator)has a supportive boyfriend. you don't need to insert your opinion on every thing 😂
1) omg i love the idea of fiber libraries 2) this just reminded me that i actually have one of these kits to knit your own dachshund that i’ve been holding on to for YEARS. i think i need to make it now???
Yes this is your sign!
Sir Nicholas is totally a star in this video, haha 😊 I’ll join everyone and say how joyful it is to see a guy like this join Jenna’s videos! Having the similar sense of humour and supporting your loved one with what they do - what a treasure! Great job sir Nick! ☺️ Wishing you guys all the best!
What a gent, helping his girl out with yarn barf!
omg, I know how to fix leg length...
take knitting needle and push end of long legs inside, until they are equal in length to 4th leg, then very carefully sew edges together to close paw up. then scrunch stuffing around inside leg to make foot look like a foot. voila!
His "Oh no!" is the best. I love that he helped you untangle the yarn.
I LOVE the idea of a fiber library. I may have to start one, or two, in my town.
The following books, and authors, are some of my favorites. For something different, the following book was written by Richard Halliburton in 1925. He was 21, newly graduated from Princeton, and decided to travel, on a very limited budget. He wrote about his adventures and sold some stories to newspaper publications and National Geographic. He wrote many books on his adventures but the one I just finished was "The Royal Road to Romance." It was an awesome read.
Another book that was very good was "The Secret Lives of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd. Two more authors I enjoy reading is John Hart, "Redemption Road" and "The Last Child." Filled with rich characters and engaging story. Also, William Kent Kruger, "This Tender Land" and "Lighting Strikes." Actually, anything by Kruger is wonderful. He has written mysteries, set in upper Minnesota, with the same main characters. Another very good writer is Anne Hillerman her father was Tony Hillerman. They both write about the American Southwest. Rich characters and engaging mysteries. Another recent read that was very good was "The Man from Beijing" by Henning Mankell. As you can see, I read a lot. I could go on and on with recommendations.
All the best. I enjoy watching your videos even though I could be your grandmother!
Is this your FIRST knitted stuffed animal project?! I'd say you did VERY WELL for your first go at something like this. Remember, learning and making are iterative processes, so don't be too disheartened. Also, these box kits tend not to be supreme with their instruction--and I agree that this one is definitely *not* for beginner knitters. I like it, and Jack LOVES it! ❤🐶❤
I'm incredibly impressed with your sweet little knitted dog!! Those tiny projects are an amazing amount of work!!!
Literally two of my favorite hobbies! Reading and making things!
Me too! And my favorite is to combine the two things and crochet or knit while listening to audiobooks
Fibre libraries? That’s really cool. Also, love that Canadians spell fibre the same way as us Brits. Well done on your knitted dog. I actually think it was great considering how intricate it is. 😊
So cute :((((( visiting community libraries, knitting a lil dog, Benson trying to give paw, everyone participating !!!!
Twins! Can’t even tell them apart! Great job! So sweet of your BF to be so helpful💓
Sir Nicholas is a great addition to random bits in videos. And he's snuggling with Jack! I'm obsessed.
So excited to watch! I didnt even know fibrw libraries exist so really curious how it turns out!
This dog knitting kit was my first attempt at knitting! I got in on sale from the book store believing it would teach me how to knit in 2014 or 2015, and I definitely did not learn how to knit then lmao it was too difficult! But it is so nice to see the finished dog after all these years and I also now know how to knit!
The little Benson was just so cute 😍 💕 And OMG I adore that crochet jumper, that's one for my to do list 💖
I've never heard of those fiber libraries, so cool that you founded an entire project in there! ALSO, it could be fun to make a project with yarn around the world from your patreons I would volunteer to send one for sure!
As soon as I heard Sir Nicholas' voice and saw his back... I giggled. How lovely it is to see our Jenna happy. I'm all for this and all the things... 😊
super cute knitted doggy.
i love the concept of a fibre library! I've literally never seen one before but now i want to make my own (mainly to get rid of some yarns i never use 💀)
I just found this video and it was posted 15 mins ago😂I love your videos and I am so inspired by all your videos,I am 11 and started knitting at 10 and am obsessed and when I am knitting i watch your videos and I find you hilarious and I love everything you make 😊🎉🎉🎉🎉 I am early
Omg same but I crochet!
That’s awesome!! Keep up the work and someday you’ll be able to make master pieces -someone around your age learning to sew
@@Sammy_norman I can crochet too!✨✨😆
@@Ami.539 that's awesome!!!
Hey guys!!
Just wanted to join in and say, awesome on being young crafters! I am 13 now, but I started crocheting at 8. I can also knit and sew, but I'm best at crocheting.
I sell my crochet products at a local hair salon, and I make a lot of money doing so! I started less than a year ago and already have over a $100 saved up.
Also I am this very minute working on my hexie quilt (sewing) :)
Knowing that there are more people out there that are young and yet not letting that stop them... it's really heartwarming :)))
Keep going guys! Keep it up!!!
Fyi the kits were made to promote the books. You can still get the Knit Your Own Dog books, there's 2 volumes. There's also Knit Your Own Cat & Knit Your Own Zoo.
I have never heard of fibre library, such a great idea! BTW I’m obsessed with your crochet sweater!!!! ❤
😂😂😂 Benson and Jack at the end of this video had me in stitches!! Great video again. Love the idea of fibre libraries, don’t think I’ve heard of them in UK but I’m now going to research it.
I have to say the weird slightly deformed handmade toys are always the ones you end up loving the most! 😅 He's cuuuute
Sir Nicholas!!!! He’s so helpful
Oh…is Sir Nicholas a fellow crocheter/ knitter?
A good girls guide to murder series is one of the best series I’ve ever read! Holly Jackson is making into a series right now!
I also love the idea of a fiber library! Suggestion for the legs to help it stand better... Shove a pipe cleaner (cut to length) through the paw and all the way up to the shoulder. It will provide a bit of reinforcement and stability. That or really any plain wire since pipe cleaner might hold on to the stuffing and pull it out of shape as you attempt to push it in.
You can still find the knit your own dog books! There is Knit Your Own Dog and the sequel "the second litter". There is also a knit your own cat book!
I just knit my GSP mix for my dad for christmas.
Im actually cracking up watching you go through the same stages od this project as me. The sad pelt stage had me laughing
2:23 I love how Jenna sacrificed her camera to make this cool shot of her car
There’s a lot of people who would keep these kind of boxes going but just as many that would clear them out to sell the yarn online.. that’s why I’ve never heard of them!!
Yay for Jenna!! Sending so much joy your way, and love how involved sir Nick is!! 🤩
Jack went HAM when he saw the knitted dog 🤣
Benson so focused on giving "the paw" is so stinkin adorable. He's the cutest! (Dont tell Jack i said so)
This is adorable! You should try knitting other small plushies? Like maybe a series of dog toys?
AGGGTM is seriously the BEST book ever!!!! my favorite ever book trilogy.
Benson and Jack are the sweetest dogs ❤
🧡🧡🧡 your content always makes me happy. You and Sir Nicholas are so cute! You deserve all the joy🧡🩷🧡
I think you rocked a VERY difficult pattern. Knitting toys is so much harder than crocheting. NOT a beginner project.
loving these little hints of Sir Nicholas each new video !! happy to see hes so interested in your crafting
okay a crocheter - knitter would can make their own clothes, watches haley pham, reads and has an awesome personality? jenna you are officially the best!
Just saying, Sir Nicholas sounds so funnn. He did do a good job with kneeding the dog yes, proud😌
I think Jack wants to claim the doggie as his new toy buddy 🐾💜
This turned out so cool what?!!
Jenna- this looks like a seal
Nicolas- BAAAAAHHH
My two favorite authors are Margaret Atwood, and Robert Heinlein. Margaret Atwood wrote the handmaid‘s tale, and many many other good books. Robert Heinlein was writing science-fiction in the 40s and 50s, and it’s just a hoot. One of his best books is stranger in a strange land. it introduces thought processes that nobody was thinking about much at that time. Far ahead of its time with dialogue about meditation, correct attitudes about other people, inclusiveness, etc. What it’s really mostly about is love, examined in all it’s many forms.
the book you're reading right now is for sure so good!!! It's my favorite book series ◡̈
Love that you found the dog project in a little fiber library. I think it turned out great. Just add a little to that one foot. It's going to become a doggy toy, anyway. Love seeing Sir Nicholas in your videos. Congrats on finding each other.
nice to ‘“meet” you Sit Nicholas. be good to Jenna! I love the idea of Fibre Libraries! Seem to be a bigger thing in Canada then the US.
So cool your boyf helped you to untangle your yarn, my husband would've just laughed and walked off❤
I knitted a small (3 1/2'') fox from the book "Stitch London" and I was pretty much a beginner (my third knitting project). But VERY proud that I figured out the directions. You can't expect real looking animals when they are knitted stuffed animals. But your dog kit turned out okay.
Actually the book came with a bit of yarn and four small needles to knit a pigeon. I bought the book to make the fox, but the other projects are fun, knitting a picnic blanket using plastic bags for yarn, great up cycle.
The time you spent on this is reminding me of when I spent 12 hours crocheting a little baby giraffe with 3ply yarn and a 2mm hook. It was torture. The giraffe is so cute though
If u use just a simple round bowl to put ur yarn in while u knit/crochet itll help a lot to unwind as u work ❤
Those kits are written by the knitting version of any IT dept. I think it turned out pretty good. A good representation of a disabled dog. Sir Nicholas seems like a keeper! Love his laugh!
CUTE PROJECT AND LOVE SIR NICHOLAS'S LAUGH. I ALSO LOVE YOUR TOP YOU WORE WITH ALL THE GRANNY SQUARES, BEAUTIFUL. THANKS FOR SHARING AND STAY SAFE ❤️ 🙏
Listen I'm here for sir Nicholas hahaha he got me cackling but omg jenna u had me rotfl hahaha and the fact jack attacked the dog was even better. I loved this video and can't wait for the next one! More sir Nicholas pleaseee he is hilarious
I read the first book in a monk & robot book. "A psalm for the wild built" is the title of book one. It took me 4 hrs to read including a break for lunch. ITS AMAZING!
Hi Jenna! I just bought “The good girls guide to murder”, I haven’t started it but you motivated me to start! I also recommend the book “They both die at the end” and “The first to die at the end”
JACK TALKING IS SO CUTE LMAO
Sir Nicholas is a stuffy chiropractor! He adjusted junior perfectly!
Book recommendations is curvy girls can’t date quarterbacks!! It’s a slow burn romance and I love it lol it warms my heart!!
11:00 so i’m the only one that saw the Oogie Boogie man?!? Love this project such a cool scavenger hunt idea!!❤
A yarn swift will make ball winding so much less painful, I highly recommend it!
Jack is DEFINITELY jealous😂❤
ahhh seeing those Vancouver neighbourhoods was so nostalgic!
we love community and sharing and dogs and nick!! 😭✨
Lol!!! I've never been one for those silly "beginner" kits, but you made this fun to watch! Fiber libraries are a great idea though!!! Great way to share the fiber Live and maybe even find a skein for a fun random project! Also.... So Cute to see your man engaged in your content👏
i just read 'a witch's guide to fake dating a demon' and 'good girls don't die' as my first two books of 2024 - both were great!
You should definitely try the Finlay Donovan series!! She's a single mom of two who gets mistaken for a contract killer and accidentally accepts a job to dispose of someone 😂
The «dog barking joke» went better than I thought 😅
I just like picturing the part from her filming her walking or driving away where she has to waddle back and pick up her camera
I’m TOTALLY searching for “fiber library near me” - I may even start one. I LOVE THIS IDEA! I’m a huge fan of the book “little library” & contribute often & also, we have “little pantry” options near me where we place non perishable foods & can goods! This is so COOL! Thanks, Jenna! Your videos ALWAYS make me smile (fellow pug lover btw) & Sir Nicholas has a TERRIFIC laugh!
Hugs from Ohio! ☺️🫶🏻🧶
This is why it ended up in the donate box! lol I understand how to knit but my hands just say hell no! I crochet and it’s so much easier!!
Jack seems to like it 😂
I loved a good girls guide to murder!!!! You should read “all your twisted secrets” or “the gravity of missing things” , i loved them so much
All that work and you stuck to it. Well done. It’s such a cute and funny video. Very nice of you filling the boxes with wool for others
Benson giving you his paw was soo cuuuuute, my heart
1) I really hope that we have fibre libraries where I live 2) omg I love love love love love aggtm especially the last book❤❤
I admire your perseverance!
I feel your pain, there's nothing worse than a beginner friendly pattern that is anything but. I think you did a pretty good job, he's cute.
Is it wrong that I found the doggie jokes really funny? ❤
I think it is SUPER CUTE!! Pipe cleaners inserted into the legs may help with posing the dog.......I am talking about the knitted one.
I'm really enjoying having you and nick part of the videos it's nice to see he enjoys your work as much as you do xx
hi
im here to recommend some of my fav books/book series
1. the lunar chronicles by Marissa Meyer. this is 4 books (+2 comics, 1 backstory and 1 novella-collection). its a scifi retelling of fairy tales, the first book is Cinderella, the second is Little Red Riding Hood, 3:Rapunzel and 4:Snow White.
2. still from Marissa Meyer (i love her so much, she writes amazing books): Heartless. its the backstory of the Queen of Hearts from Alice in wonderland.
3. Marissa Meyer: renegades trilogy. its a huperhero enemies to lovers trilogy
4. the maze runner trilogy by James Dashner. its scifi, the 2-3. parts are kinda apocalyptic. it has 2 supplemental books also
5. Veronica Roth: Divergent trilogy. it has 1 supplemental book. its scifi and i think it has a lot in common with the maze runner but maybe i only think this bc i read them at the same time.
6. Victoria Aveyard: red queen series. its scifi/fantasy (not sure wich) but its also adventurous and has a lot of romance going on. it also has politics
7. wayfarer series by Becky Chambers: space scifi, it has a lot of species and cultures, i'd say its not rly an adventure book, rather a cozy book but there are thrills in this one too.
8. Elisa A. Bonnin: Dauntless. this is an adventure-fantasy, but it also has some romance. it takes place in the jungle and has exciting animals and warriors.
9. Rebecca Podos: from dust, a flame. this is id say a fantasy, but also has some romance and mysteries
10. Kalynn Bayron: cinderella is dead. it has elements from cinderella but i wouldnt say its a retelling. andventure, feminism, has romance and a little bit of magic.
11. girls made of snow and glass by Melissa Bashardoust. snow white retelling but snow white and the stepmother have a good relationship
12. Tillie Walden books. all of them are comics
13. Heather Walter: malice (2. book: misrule) sleeping beauty retelling but aurora and maleficent fall in love. fantasy, adventure
14: Adrienne Tooley: Sofi and the bone song. fantasy, romance.
15: Nicky Drayden: escaping exodus (2. book: symbiosis) space scifi but the people live in large creatures not on planes. has politics in it, romance, and the society in this book is matriarchist
i also have read other books too so if anyone needs recommendations, feel free to ask
(also if you're interested in sapphic books i have a playlist of recommendations videos on my profile)
Love your granny square sweater!
I really loved A Wizards Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher
Idk if you like nonfiction at all, but two of my favorite books are spy books called Sleeper Agent: The Atomic Spy in America Who Got Away, and The Princess Spy. Both real stories but NOT BORING AT ALL. The details can get confusing, especially trying to remember names and who's who in both books, but the people that these books are about lived such interesting lives and had me HOOKED.
Now you know why someone gave the dog kit away. I would crochet a little fire hydrant and put it next to the raised leg. "I meant to do that."
You should revisit this idea but as an amigurimi, I think you would crush it! Crochet Benson, i love that
Awww..
I loved this episode so much.. super cute and funny..love your puppies n your knitted doggy.. well done!❤😊
Greetings from Australia 🦘
The fibre library is awesome. In Baltimore we have tons of the little library's that people have built all over and even food pantries in some places but not fabric libraries that is awesome.
I had an Alan Dart Percy Polar Bear knit kit that came as a bonus with a Simply Knitting magazine years ago. I decided to make it in time for Christmas 2023. The stitches were so tiny. It took me 2 days to knit and another 5 to assemble. Albeit, it looked amazing when it was done , if I do say so myself, but 7 days to complete such a small project?! So I feel for you, Jenna. I totally understand the frustration that goes with making hand knit toys.
Jenna you look so much more content and happy. Really glad i found your channel the other week.
youre killin it!!
This video made my morning lol I’m a beginner and was almost giving up on some running issues on a project bc this made me wanna stay with it lol love this video
I really enjoyed the video, the outcome might not be what you expected, but it was a good ride. Gave me a good laugh and I hope it gave you a good laugh too!
20 hours later and Jack is like "ooo new chew toy"
