I remember just watching weird and unusual videos from the late 2000s - early 2010s when i first knew about RUclips because i saw my older sister watching it on her tablet when i was little. I'm in middle school now and coming back to these videos gives me nostalgic memories about the simple times. Thank you cyriak for giving me a big impact on my childhood!
just another song that structures its bars extremely fascinatingly, going from 3/4 for 3 bars, then doing two bars of 2/4, than it goes a bar of 4/4 then back to 3/4 before ending it off on 4/4. which means technically it is 28/4 or 7/4 but the way each bar is structured makes it not really possible to devide evenly into that measure without having some parts sound like they don't line up. Cyriaks music is an extremely underated aspect of these videos and I love reading into their structure to bring attention to how amazingly unique it really is.
Not to mention the bonkers harmony. He claims not to have musical training or knowledge, which might be why he gets such unique results. But he must have a good ear just to make the decisions he does. It's fascinating and I don't think a trained musician would come up with this in a million years.
