If this was a fan made directors cut of the actual film, I definitely add these extra scenes to it, to make it more interesting and more focused on the robots.

How did you do that on 1:57 where the arms were I don't know to to put it but phase out a bit I'm not saying it's bad at all it's awsome !!!!!! But I am wondering what did you use and what kind of camera, software, etc is required ?
Just my opinion, but I don’t think the interpolated frames look very good, it makes the animation and character movements look unnatural. Generally, if something moves slower you need to capture more frames and if something goes fast, then that’s when you capture less frames. But overall, you’ve done a good job (especially your customs, they are fantastic) but I definitely would’ve liked to see it without the interpolation. Keep on improving and making cool stuff!!
