- We travel from Moalboal to Dauin Dumaguete Philippines. We stay in the peaceful AivyMaes Divers Resort and then explore the nearby beach and get to know the locals. A PADI certification course in scuba diving gets us to dive in the pristine waters of Apo Island. Dauin is truly a diver's paradise, known as a world class destination for reef diving.

@cindyvicente2289 Hello Cindy. It was a fun land/ferry trip but tiring at the same time, especially riding vans. We started from tacloban to Ormoc-cebu city-Moalboal-Dumaguete/Dauin and finally Siquijor.

@@lonestarfilipino Yes, near Houston, Tx. It has been a long time. I think I forgot how to swim, 😆. The certs are for life, just have to renew.
I take it you were already certified in the USA and she is getting certified in the Philippines?
I got my SSI open water cert about 20 years ago. Just getting back to diving now that I’m here in the Philippines. My partner just completed her PADI certification in Dauin.
How much does it cost for diving brother?
@hussainalmomen3234 At the resort AivyMaes Divers Resort in Dauin they offer several options ranging from 1500 PHP ($25 USD) for non certified discovery dive to 5k-6k PHP ($100-$120 USD) for 3 dives at Apo Island (for certified divers).
