I had a blind dog a d to keep her from running into things that might hurt her head, I put bubble wrap around metal furniture legs and other things thst might hurt her. also to keep her from Falling down the 3 landing stairs I got some tape on Google for dog/stairs protection and taught her every time she came near the stairs her paws would feel the tape that had rough top and I'd make a UH sound and eventually she became aware of the tape feel and backed away herself with no noise making from me. My second blind dog learned the same thing.
Useful & Money-saving Hacks: Cut your SOS pads in half to make them go longer. Put in snack-size ziploc bag & put in freezer after each use so they don't rust. For those of us that are single and/or empty-nesters, This would be good for college kids or older kids at home, too. When I buy hot dog buns and hamburger buns, I put 2 hot dog buns in a freezer bag and 1 burger bun in a freezer bag and freeze them. I don't eat either all the time, so I would end up wasting a lot. This way when I know I will want either, just stick the bag in the fridge to thaw then put on counter to come to room temp. This has saved me money and time. For those who say this would be wasteful of bags, nope, not at all. Since the only thing in the bags is plain bread and it's frozen, just re-use the bags. I have them labeled what they are and they have a place in the pantry when they are empty. I tried the hanger with paper towel hack awhile back and found this to be very useful outside. If you try this, just make sure your break is in the middle of the hanger and not to the side like in another video on another channel. This is perfect when you need paper towels outside and want to keep them clean, not on dirty surfaces. Doing that in the kitchen like in this video is just tacky. And who puts a roll of paper towels in the cupboard and over the sink? lol I do use the pool noodles for my tall boots and since I have MS and at times my gait/balance is off, I end up running into my footboard on the bed and now have scars on one leg. I cut a piece of pool noodle to the right length then cut a slit on one side. Wrap the noodle around the sharp edge and I ended up using 2 zip ties to hold it in place. Paint it beforehand if you want. Pool noodles is a great idea for those who have little ones. If you have furniture you can alter, change the style a little and add half noodles to those edges so your kiddo doesn't get hurt. You'd probably want to paint them first so they match your furniture lol I've got a new grandson so I may end up having to use the last pool noodle hack; we'll see. I hope some of these help. These are things I actually do and find that they work well for me. Check out Hometalk . com and here on youtube.
the most stupid hack is at 35:50... instead of screwing off the handle, simply TURN the lid and let the handle face into the pan. It's even smaller that way...
Twisted wire scrubby good but never ever rub the wire end around the bottom of the bottle. I did once and cut a nice round hole out of the bottom of my mother's favorite vase! 😂
and make the unit run much longer than it needs to or should! my husband is a sheet metal worker with certifications in HVAC.... he would flip his shit if he saw me do that! (and id flip at the utility bill!)
While I do agree with you, I do freeze sauce in covered ice cube trays. One sauce will be basil, butter, garlic and oregano and the second one is garlic and butter. I'm single so it's a quick and easy way to add flavor to almost anything. The first one I mainly use for mixed veggies and the second one for dipping sauce (pork chops or steak) or whatever else I want it for.
I would probably not use so much plastic in the house and definitely not clingfilm over the sink. However some of other hacks are quite clever like the hanger for the tissue roll, the improvised wardrobe, the improvised blinds.
I'm betting a lot of these won't work--the two straws for making a mister (notice you don't see them actually blowing mist). You can see where the tape made marks on the paint when fastening up the plant, the cup door-knobs are going to collect dust and other kitchen goop, etc.
Since throwing it out the window isn't always an option, instead of the plastic like you said, he could use a paper towel, dump the hair in the trash and recycle the paper towel. That's actually what I do when I get brave enough to trim/cut my own hair :)
An eclectic mix ranging from positively clever to absurdly pointless to utterly useless. Points for entertainment value when I am actively avoiding doing real work ;-)
some of those are absolutely ridiculous (honestly, a pretty sheet would work better as a curtain than a PAPER BAG BLIND ffs), some are outright dangerous or will cost you money in the long run (the HVAC), some make doing a job HARDER (when you could buy a reasonable tool for it for a $1 at the dollar store- the cleaner thing for the vase. its called a BOTTLE BRUSH), and only a handful in the 12 minutes i made it through seemed useful or a good idea (the stool pillow).
I can say some hacks are goodish and some not, but 5:26 what is this? You could use the other side the sponge, it would not have been necessary to tear it down🤣

most of the hacks are more expensive than just buying the stuff and won't look like trash...
01:10 that doesn't help someone instantly determine which lid fits the container, which seemed to be the issue initially demonstrated.
Thank you!! We said the same thing lol

Exactly 😊💯
Changing the handle of the lid is demented.
Flip the lid upside-down, ye dafty.
Love the channel! Can you advise how to successfully cut teacups in half? What sort of blade or device would you use?
If my friend did this stuff I'd hate her forever.

The placemat with the house shoes lmao...just no!
At 36:00... all you need to do is invert the lid...it'll fit for storage. No need to undo the handle and move it; that makes no sense to me.
I was thinking the same thing! I stack my pots & lids like that (bottom 2 lids inverted) on my bakers rack.
That's what I thought they were going to do, going through the extra process of taking it off and putting it on inside lid is a total waist of time
I would never have known these tricks. Thank you
How do you bring the clothes back in the suitcase after it is opened during your trip?
You can’t. The bag also makes the clothes extremely heavy.
Or you would have to bring a vacuum and suffer social humiliation

Oh sure, let me stick a glued spork into hot noodles
haha!!! RIGHT?!?!
10:00 doing that, your HVAC system won't be able to know the accurate house temperature, and it can make your house either too hot or cold.

Ummmm. How is the thermostat supposed to work properly if you cover it with a box?!?!
it wont.
Thermostat is only the controls, once its on & temp set its good. My boss covered ours once & padlocked!!
where do you get that compartmented plastic at 2:25?
Toilet paper minus the roll? Wth?
😂
Most of them are a waste of stuff and time.
Rather than pollute with plastic cover the sink with a towel to catch your hair and shake the towel out the window.
yes but then you don't have that neat POV shot from inside the sink 😂
