From Hot Space on, Queen lost me, but before that one of my favorite bands. They may have started out sounding like Led Zeppelin, but soon they developed their own sound. As you said great live band. Because everybody wrote, they were so diverse. My favorite album is Sheer heart attack.

Hey Larry, just catching up on your video’s. Was a big Queen fan back in the day; first 3 albums all 5* for me, Queen 2 my favourite just from Sheer Heart Attack. Loved Opera on release but it hasn’t aged well imo. Races very patchy but enjoyed News of The World. From then on I lost interest as they drifted into churning out average singles but each album did have the odd killer track. The fabulous Innuendo dragged me back in and spookily I’ve always loved Made in Heaven. Favourite songs:
1. Brighton Rock
2. Father to Son
3. Killer Queen
4. Dead on Time
5. Innuendo

I’ve been seeing some Queen content thru the algorithm a lot in the past few days . It’s really motivating me to start exploring the discography. Have you heard anything by Laurie Anderson? Some might know her as simply Lou Reed’s wife - but her discography is simply astonishing.

Queen is one of my favorite bands. I love their earlier stuff. Best album and song in my opinion: Queen II and Father To Son.

My favourite album is Queen II followed by News of the World, Queen and Sheer Heart Attack. I haven't listened to Queen since the last time you ranked and reviewed their albums. Cheers

Hi Larry. For me, all the Albums from Queen to The Game are 10/10, including Live Killers. From Flash Gordon onwards, mostly 5/10, i do not like the Pop tunes like I want to break free and so on. The Innuendo Album is a Solid 7/10, I really love the title track. For me, although i have every Album in my collection, from Flash Gordon onwards they have lost something. My Top Three are 1) Jazz, 2)Sheer heart attack, 3)Live Killers

One of the best rock n roll bands of all time. I find it hard to pick 1 best album but I’d say Jazz, The Game and News Of The World are amongst their greatest.
Queen, II, Sheer Heart Attack, Night At The Opera, Day At The Races, News Of The World, Jazz, The Works, The Game and The Miracle are all good. Hot Space, A Kind Of Magic, Flash Gordon is a Sound Track, Made In Heaven is post humorus doesn't count.
My idea of Queen? Queen is my favourite band of all time, The Beatles comes 2nd and Led Zeppelin is on the 3rd spot.

My fav Queen’s live album is… wait it can’t be one… I only can say Live At The Bowl ‘82 is my least favourite Queen live album, this’s how legendary this band is…
My favourite Songs; Great King Rat, My Fairy King, All of Queen II songs, Sheer Heart Attack’s medley, The Millionaire Waltz, Innuendo.
I like Paul Rodgers, Adam Lambert and Marc Martel they’re all great vocalists but Freddie’s Freddie.
Btw Freddie had some great songs during his solo career; The Great Pretender (cover), Made In Heaven, Born To Love You and his duets with Montserrat Caballé.
Queen 2 is my favorite. It’s their most proggy
Hi Larry when I was a teenager my friends all loved Queen and I would hear all the albums up until jazz I never really was crazy about them like they were. I liked the odd song. Last week I found a few Queen albums on cd at the thrift store for $2 each I picked up Queen #1 the jury is still out on whether I am a fan.
Queen is my favorite of all time!!! My favorite is Queen II! Even Hot Space has some pretty good songs on it, like Las Palabras De Amor, Calling all Girls, Under Pressure, Etc. Freddie Mercury is my favorite singer ever.
Hi Larry, Day At The Races is still my favourite, with News Of The World a close second. Jazz would be a ten if it weren't for Mustpha (I hate that song). I have Hot Space to complete the collection, but I may never play it again. Thanks for the high quality entertainment.
I didn't like innuendo tho. The first three are my favourite. After that production improved, but something intangible disappeared. I thought Day at the Opera not as good as Sheer Heart Attack. Except for '39.
A Night At The Opera is basically Brian taking over control while Freddie is losing his mind (basically Freddie having a mental breakdown about his former manager (“Death On Two Legs”) and going out for an entire Sunday afternoon (“Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon”) then tearing up about a loss of a woman (“Love Of My Life”) before coming back to Brian in a fit of rage due to him leaving to the seaside (“Seaside Rendezvous”) and then coming back AGAIN with a huge mental breakdown in pure disappointment (“Nothing Really Matters (formerly known as Bohemian/Mongolian Rhapsody)”) and destroying his life entirely (“Tie Your Mother Down) before feeling confused and getting his former manager killed and replaced with Jim Beach completely making himself proud and getting his woman resurrected (“Somebody To Love”) which ten leads to A Day At The Races where Freddie fixes some stuff that Brian had already done previously)
