@@athor5670 Well ,that's what the editor of your chemistry practical notebook by D.N. publications, and our school's Hod chemistry told us.Now you can cover your face. ;)
I'm a bit jealous of this teacher. Ours just make us memorise everything and doesn't even help us and just scream at us when we ask questions. Other than lab times she's good.
I had taken the ppt obtained by adding OS and BaCl2 and added nh4cl, heated it and cooled down and then added nh4oh and then litmus solution, it had turned red, but now I got it that ive to add nh4oh as well, thank u for this mam
@@seemamakhijani721 and it is that for pre eliminary test we write ion may be present , and for the confirmatory test we write ion is confirmed ? thank you so much ma'am
Due to strong nature of the sodium hydroxide water soluble coordination compound will form so you will not get ppt.same principle exploited in concentration of bauxite ore of aluminium
2nd test is To the white ppt which is dissolved in dilute HCl, add NaOH solution; first drop wise then in excess. A white ppt will be observed, which is soluble in excess NaOH solution.
I think that after reacting the salt solution with ammonium chloride and ammonium Hydroxide and saying that Jelly like white PPT is formed is wrong as it is floating so we should say it has Jelly like white suspension is formed in the solution am I correct
While transferring any liquid in testtube , use of testtube holder is mandatory and it shows good skill in lab too, it is the basic knowledge mam you should know it
I have observed that all chemistry teachers have one thing in common-their confident accent. Great demonstration mam👍
🙂🙂
That's one of the reason why they are our teachers.
There are always exceptions 😅
Yeah u are absolutely right
Cause they have been doing the same thing for past 15-16 years

Why didn't we boil O.S. with conc.HNO3 before adding NH4Cl? Isn't that necessary for group 3?
Its to be done only if the salt is pale green in colour.
Is the salt is amorphous or crystal
Added distilled water right??
Do we add tap water in any test instead of Distilled water?!
amazing! Thanks!
