I've been looking all over for decent off-road bars for my Versys 650, and these look like a good set of bars (although not as sleek-looking as the Touratech stainless bars). Cheers for the video!
Yes sir! I still have to put rear crash bars for the panniers as the stock ones are just plastic and could be damaged. Soon enough. Thanks for the comment my friend!
thats perfect and right on time! just got the bike and bars last week! i thought the engine would fall off, your video was very helpful. wish i knew the torque specs for the engine bolts tho, "just enough" wont cut it for me.
great videos on the versys 650.. just bought a 2017 model.. you my friend have another subscriber and I am thinking T Rex may have another customer.. can't decide between rd moto, fehling, givi and sw motech.. I'm stuck to bars that don't wrap around the top front so not to mess with the spot lights as I have the gt model here in England.. cheers luke
Thanks for watching Luke. I will be in England in December as my oldest daughter is going to be in the New Year's parade. I won't have the bike though...Thanks also for the SUB!
hello, thank you for the demonstration I find your crash bar very simple and easy to install, I would like to know if they are compatible with a Versys 650 vintage 2019? thank you for your reply .
I agree with you almost 100% of the time. However, T-Rex has a different style available now. The Crashbars from this video only have a bar going across on the bottom. The new style has them going across top and bottom. My current setup wont allow the new style to fit.
I would like to get the exact bars. The only option I see won't work on mine unless I relocate the factory fog lights. Could you share the part number for your crash bars? Thanks!
Unfortunately I had the chance to try them out. The bars protected the whole bike very well and took all the damage. I can recommend these crash bars for sure!
HI Mike S. I think a little bit of both. The pucks kept the turn signal and handlebars from taking any damage and wore nicely. We took a hard fast fall on the gravel at 40 MPH, but the crash bars took most of the abuse. I just spray painted the bars flat black over the damage and now they look like new again. Great parts that I can definitely recommend from experience!
Essentially the puck is a frame slider, just attached to the crash bar instead of the frame. Think of it a crash protection for the crash bars...isn't that interesting? That is my understanding, anyway. Thanks for the comment!
im flying to the states in two months. i was planing to buy one set for my versys 650 2008 but i didnt know if this crash bar was single piece or the left side was separated from the right one. now its more clear i think i can fit them into my luagguage bag. hope the 2008 model is attached the same way as yours? can you mesure and tell me how wide is the left side and the right one (from the center of the exhaust pipes to the left and right of the crash bars)? just to be sure they gonna fit in my bag? best regards from europe!
HI Ivan, I measured from the center split of each side on the front bar to the edge of each vertical part: 9 3/4" on the right and 10 1/2" on the left. I hope this helps you!
Yes sir they do. They are manufactured in the US so I am not sure where all they are available. They look good and work well (I laid the bike down this weekend and no damage at all to the bike or me!) Now for touch up paint on the crash bars. Thanks for the question. IH

Thanks for the comment MikaelF! Please let us know what you end up getting. Cheers, IH.
simple clean install...now you can ride with the confidence that any possible tip over will not damage anything

Nice instructional video - short and to the point. Good job!
Thanks! Hope it was a help!
Excellent video. You made it look easy although I will look into the whole torque issue.

SickSwan Do you know if these protection bars are compatible with the fog lights? Also, what crash bars did you end up getting?
Thanks for an easy to follow instruction vid. I have a set on the way with plans to add highway pegs; are you thinking of doing that too?

What is the part number for the T. rex racing crash bars? 2016 Kawasaki Versys 650 LT. I want the exact same ones!
An older Versys model? Perhaps first gen? I'm curious too! 🙂
Just look it up on the T. rex website, it’s really that simple

Do they protect blinkers?

Crash bars look good. Will these crash bars protect the tank too? Thanks in advance :)
Unfortunately I had the chance to try them out. The bars protected the whole bike very well and took all the damage. I can recommend these crash bars for sure!
"Unfortunately I had the chance to try them out" - Sorry to hear that. Happy to know that the bike is fine. Hope you didn't have any injuries either!
Thankfully we were OK. And the bike is OK too.

May I know what's the part number for that crash bar? Thank you
What is the purpose of the pucks?

These bars fit even the model versys 2017? Thank you for answer :-)
