with the dress i think you should wait to hem it really short until you get the top part of it fitted. i personally think the ankle length was super flattering on you, maybe start with that and see how much/what ways you wear it. you can always go short but not longer :)
I was 100% on keeping the dress long until you showed it as a mini. Tbh, either/or would look great, looks really cute on you.
Love the weekly vlogs! (For the dress if you go mini it'll look cute strapless, if you go tea length maybe keep the straps so it's not too formal, and you have the option to tuck in the straps if you want!)

i think you should keep the straps and tailor it to tea/ankle length but i understand making it shorter would be probably be more your style!

wear the dress long at least once and then cut it short! fit it to your body and make the slit a little higher!

I say mini if it's more of your style! I think keeping it tea length requires that you go to fancier events and if that's not your intent, then definitely go for the more casual route. another idea is to create a two-piece set with a strapless top? :o so you can get wear out of both pieces. just a thought!
For the black dress… if kept long do strapless but if you decide to shorten it I would definitely keep straps on and adjust the size so it still has more of tighter shift dress style

Short for sure! Why anyone is getting outraged that you’re cutting a piece of clothing you own so you can enjoy it is beyond me. Nearly every vintage thing I owned is now tailored to the high heavens 😅
I love the black dress! You’re right, the length needs to be a bit longer or make it a mini with a tiny slit on the thigh or a midi that hits mid calf and is a bit tighter in the waist
