      I just listened to her claim that stormy Daniels admitted motivation to jail Trump despite the fact that the case is not for anything Trump has done to Daniels is not an indicator of witness bias. Even CNN doesn't agree with her on that one.

    Maher should call his show "Bill Maher's Sneer Death Experience" - there is no one in public life who imagines they know more, whilst understanding less.
    He is the quintessential poseur, imagining he is being edgy, but as soon as someone dares to push back on his glib schtick, then you see his real self - and it's neither funny, nor pretty. In reality he's just a Karen trying to prove he hasn't lost his sense of humour.

    Bolton quit because Trump wouldn’t listen to him.
    One thing I remember was Reason had nothing good to say about Trump and you people treated the Mueller (Andrew Weissman) “Investigation” like it was real and treated the impeachment like there were legitimate charges there. I lost it with Libertarians during Trump’s presidency. I won’t even identify as a libertarian anymore because I don’t want people to think I’m a gullible fool. If I do point out that my views are libertarian I always qualify it as right libertarian because I live in the real world not in the imaginary one where open borders are a great idea and legalizing pot is a great achievement when not one inch of the police state the drug wars helped to create has been cut back.

      Reason has complimented Trump on occasions. It is rare, but that's because Trump has very little positive to say about him. • @mattm7798
      @mattm7798 17 дней назад

      I don't think so because if that were the case, he would have it now, to try and prevent him from being re-elected. If he gets re-elected, he'll complain about things Trump is doing he doesn't like, but that's not TDS. It's this caricature the left paints of Trump that he is hitler and will bring about the end of democracy. There's actually a decent chance Trump doesn't outlive his second term since he is 77 now.
      I think Bill will vote Biden but has woken up to what a far left president looks like and so won't champion for them. What would be crazy to see is if Biden dies say next month, who fills the void that can win? Harris...no. Hillary...no. Newsome, probably their best shot but California is a dumpster fire. Biden is actually their best bet in 2024 as he was in 2020.

    If you think a second Trump term will be anything like the first term before all the baby sitters were fired or resigned you are dead wrong. It would be like the Trump-Biden interregnum. You also make the absurd mistake of blaming Biden for Trump's inflation. As Milton Friedman put it : inflation is like alcohol the good effects come first, the bad effects come later. Seems I remember getting a $600 check from Trump (and a letter bragging about it) You think that wasn't inflationary?

    These two are being completely disingenuous. For instance, the cat is out of the bag regarding the inflation “problem”. It’s Big Buisness that is greedily hiking prices and then blaming Biden. And So I love how they always try to make it about small businesses.
    And to say that Biden “got us involved in wars is also not fair. We are supporting allies and with the outrageous amount of the budget given to the military, they can certainly afford it.
    And this is coming from a Bernie-bro who isn’t crazy about Biden. But to blame him for everything is just ridiculous.

      Do you think Biden reversing Trumps EO on “Remain in Mexico” on day one has something to do with the national security threat we are facing? Unvetted people dreaming across the border seems insane. The number of illegals who have crossed in the 3 years of Biden is larger than 38 States!!!! Absolutely treasonous. And Biden pretends he has no power to shut the border down- bullshit, reinstate “remain in Mexico”. A the “Border Bill” that was presented as a bipartisan solution was an Ukraine/Israel funding bill. If you want a strictly border bill tell Schumer to introduce HR2.

    I used to wonder where the intellectual decline was coming from in conservatism. I have my answer now, in part: it’s these two. First, there’s never been a president in US history who has enjoyed any macroeconomic effects of their policies within term. If they serve two terms in a row the effects of policy change in the first may be visible in the second. Inflation now was the predicted result of easing and aid during the pandemic. Question: think things would have been better for small businesses and the economy had there not been that loosening of purse strings? Do you really think Trump would have done anything differently in that regard? Of course not. Biden is as responsible for the inflationary results of pandemic aid as Trump was for the ruler-straight march out of the red that had been underway since 2009. Meaning: not at all. So putting Trump back in office will have no measurable effect. Forestalling the next pandemic, in contrast, will. Which means there’s not much anyone can directly do about inflation that the Fed isn’t already doing. The economy’s a biiiiiiiiig ship. Anything Trump might do in a second term you wouldn’t feel until he’s out of office anyway.
    Second, “Biden’s wars” are the result of Russia seeking to annex a neighbor, and Iran via Hamas maneuvering to scuttle Saudi recognition of Israel in exchange for two-state and security commitments. “Wouldn’t have happened on Trump’s watch,” you say? Why the hell not? In the case of Ukraine, it’s possible though unlikely that Putin would have delayed until his favorite President had left, the better to give a black eye to those who actually challenge him. In the case of Gaza, the only way that timing would have changed is if the Saudi deal weren’t on the table. Which would have been no benefit to the US or to Israel.

    • @aaronkcmo
      @aaronkcmo 20 дней назад

      Answer: Yes. Because of the dramatic decline in the value of a dollar many small businesses have closed and new small businesses have been shut out of the market by the cost of doing business. Yes, Trump would have not just printed money blindly like Biden did. Are you seriously suggesting that deficits weren't increasing for the period from 2009 to 2020? That's a fantasy. Pandemic? A virus didn't cause any economic disaster, it was the lockdowns. Considering the extremely high cost of the lockdowns for no net gain there will never be lockdowns like that again in our lifetimes. Tax cuts have immediate effect on the economy. Trump recognized that, implemented it and was able to reap the benefits from it almost immediately. Tariffs had an immediate effect on the economy, good and bad, all Trump. The president has major influence on monetary policy and has the ability to reign in the fed and its money printer.
      Russia invaded Crimea during Obama's term. Did Obama send them billions of dollars in aid and weapons? The current invasion of Ukraine would certianly not have happened in a Trump presidency because he presented a credible threat to the enemies of the country. Biden proved that he's willing to cut and run on anybody, so no world leader takes him seriously. Favorite president? If he was so favored why didn't they move on Ukraine when he was in office? That makes absolutely no sense. Also, remember, Trump is not a conservative ideologue, he's a populist. Your slanderous accusation about the "intellectual decline" of conservatism seems to be quite a projection since you haven't mentioned a single conservative in your rant.

      I'll agree that it takes longer for economic effects of policy to get baked in the cake but as far as two proxy wars and a couple more looming, these would not have happened under trump. He shows strength, Biden shows weakness. Biden is a joke on any metric and is an angry, dementia riddled old man.

      How did that not happen. Have you forgotten the assassination of Qasem Soleimani. He was killed in a U.S. drone strike in January 2020. -An act of war. Then the Trump regime flew drones that were shot down by Iran, and provoked by parking US war ships inside Iranian waters... To try and get shot at. So that they could justify a war.
      Because a war is traditionally 100% sure way to get re-elected. Then Covid happened and took over the news and ended these plans. Give me a break.
