Great score Mark. Thanks Focus Features for making this video. Has a Payne movie sensibility. Beautifully introspective and melancholic representing interior states.
How appropriate! The music fits the era...I was a senior (1971) in high school when Cat Stevens was "cool" and Dickey Betts' "Elizabeth Reed"...an anthem! Best of all is the original music. I am in love with The Great Unknown/See Ya! WHERE HAVE I HEARD THIS TUNE BEFORE? I know I've heard it before I watched this movie.
Hello Mark! Is there sheet music available for the piano pieces from the Holdovers? They are stunning and would be fun to be able to play it at home during the holidays.

Love!
Love this lad. Been listening to plenty Tin Hat recently, a new Orton soundtrack is very welcome.

You guys did a great job on the score for this one, a future classic for sure!
His score for SWEET LAND is amazing, too.
This score is such a wonderful marriage to a great movie - making it a SUPERB movie - really transports the viewer to the story and the early 70s era.
Such a great score.
Just finished watching movie "Holdovers " great movie and such good music by Mark Orton ❤
Drive to boston is beautiful

Dominic Sessa was snubbed for Best Supporting Actor
much love.
Giamatti was robbed of Best Actor for sure and Dominic definitely should have had a nomination. the movie doesn't work without any of the main cast
