Great review. I just got the Akaso Brave 8 LTE and love it. It’s not the best camera, but it’s great as a budget camera. I think it gets the job done. I just subscribed.
My personal opinion is that the GoPro is the better of the two in all categories, if you are just starting out though and don’t want to splash out then I’d say get the Akaso 👍🏻 great video though guys, I’m about to watch your other one now, see you over there. All the best, Brian.
Akaso Brave 8 Lite is not a professional grade but gets the job done. The ideal distance for recording sound is less than 12 ft. Wind screens are available or make your own. I set the EV=-0.5 for sunny conditions. Akaso Brave 8 Lite for having fun and not for chasing money.
I think the brave 8 lite could use a -.3 ev adjustment. As for audio the Brave truly sucks. Pity you didn't do an external mic test on the Akaso. Enjoyed your video.
Thanks Eddy. Unfortunately I did try it with an external mic but found the sound to be no better 😔 I can only put it down to really bad pre-amp circuitry on the Akaso. Shame really as the video quality isn't too bad
I think the go pro has the edge but i guess it depends on what you are going to do with the video if your just out hiking with the cam on a head mount the akaso would be ok if you need the action shots maybe the gopro with audio a lavalier microphone aways helps
If it was under £100 then maybe. But a used gopro is the miles better quality for the same cost and you'll get most of that money back if you sell it. A used akaso isn't worth anything.
buy a gopro folks. I have an uploaded video on my cahnnel and to be honest first impression was good. but after a while encounters multiple errors. so just buy a go pro period.
Ohh ok I thought you was letting us 2 know🤣 Yeah if the audio was better it'd be a useable little camera, but as it stands - the audio is of poor quality, even with an external microphone.

Hi thanks, we'll be interested in seeing what footage you film with the brave 8 lite 👍

I take it you didn't watch the video? 🤣 We are literally testing it side by side with our 2 GoPros 🤦♀️
@@GarethZoeWildcamps I have and I know. Just letting other people know that they will eventually regret once they buy AKASO

Didn’t see much difference to be honest.
Some people can't 👍 Which is good for choosing the cheaper option.
Go Pro was far better on auto exposure, better sound recording and better stabilization, but as you say, each to their own 👍👍
We agree theoldhobbit3640 👍 The sound difference was quite a biggie!
