      Since 3 is a common multiple in both 6 and 15 we use 3 as the LCD and the term can be written as 3 (2u + 5).

      This is a rule, you can take -1 outside and make sure you just flip the signs of the terms inside. You can use this rule to change the signs of the terms if needed.

    why didnt we divide 16t by 112t in this equation 16:31

      I have used the method of factoring to solve. In that particular problem (Check 2) it is possible to divide directly by 16 and get the factor, but for other numbers it may not be a factor so it is useful to know the method.
