  • Pete Datcher's home-turned-museum showcases generations of rural southern life for Black farmers in Shelby County. Six generations of his family have lived in the home that sits on the family's farmland. Datcher’s History House houses more than a century’s collection of mementos, photographs and documents that tell the story of his family’s journey from enslavement to freedom to successful farmers. Wow, that was very informative. I've been researching my family history and came across this. My name is Derrick Datcher. I was wondering if there is any way i could get in contact with Pete Datcher? I would really like to know more.
