I'm glad your kids are doing this, im 19 and the generation we live in today is terrible and it's just so cool to see these kids doing the same thing I did growing up.
Thanks for sharing this link from the other video! This is so cool. I love that your boys are outside building and playing in nature. They’re going to have wonderful memories of their childhood. I love that they not only made it chicken friendly but catered to the chickens by building things specifically for them. ❤
Nope, they never drew up plans, but just sort of started and then continued to expand over the course of years. For the weapons, they used whatever they could find: scrap wood, old broom handles, etc. and attached handles and hooks and ropes, etc. They have invented all sorts of games using those weapons!

I’m showing this to my grandsons. They are inspired to build one on our land!❤
I love this! My youngest was like this and his creativity is still with him now that he’s an adult. God Bless you and your sweet boys.
Thanks for the kind words, Shelley! I love watching them use their creativity. :)
What a life! ❤
Great project, all theirs to pour in their creativity and problem solving skills, and learn from experience. Love it!!!

They've had so much fun with this fort over the years!
My children would like to know how they made the shield and weapons! They also wondered if the boys drew up plans ever?!

My son would totally have “an arena”
To battle in.
Healthy, happy, bright children. Thanks for sharing :)
You're welcome! :)
