Are you able to pedal/paddle back upstream to the launch when fishing New River, or do you always have to float down and have someone pick you up/a friend with a second car? I’m moving to VA from Louisiana soon and trying to figure out how the fishing is. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for watching and the questions! Just like most places it depends on water levels and flows / weather / winds. On a normal day in most places on the New if you have a pedal drive you can come back up unless obvious rapids. You can go on the Va DWR website and it breaks down the launches and distance / types of rapids and what to expect. Tight lines from LCFC! dwr.virginia.gov/waterbody/new-river/
New sub. Found you from a Facebook group I run. We chase smallies on the Holston, North Fork Holston and all the other rivers Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Va. Hit us up if you like.
Nice video. Only wish is not to disclose location. Us locals that grew up here love to fish too, and when people find out where this is then over fishing occurs. I always catch and release, but with more people finding out the location, and start keeping them well then you know the outcome. Not ragging on you as you were releasing them kiddos for that.
Totally understand! My bad ..luckily this video is older and didn’t get to many view! Lol. Hopefully, people aren’t eating too many smallmouths. I grew their also. Tight lines from LCFC!
0l bruce is tore up about video so I watched I watched you throw a swimbait with a swivel. And I watched you throw a crank with a swivel I don't need to see no more
