That's so horrific, I started crying hearing the kids cry and panic. I can't imagine what it must have been like for you all, so glad you are all safe. Sending love 💜
@@HidesCriesDies Yes but maybe they wanted to show it from the kids pov but not show them upset. Plus they wanted to show the time difference and the voices just happened to be there.
I'm so relieved to see this. I've been calculating the time difference to check Insta regularly and check if you're all OK. Being in Australia I understand how huge and devastating bush fires can be and how quickly they move, even in residential areas. Thank you for taking the time in the midst of the stress too keep us up-to-date. So glad you're all safe.
I don’t know how you go to through this video without it crying! I hope there is a time for you guys, as parents, to cope and grieve. Using your platform to share your story but also encourage people to have compassion and understanding is what makes your family and channel so special! Lots of love!
ThankYou so much for the update🤗 You ALL have been on my mind. I grew up in the area & am familiar with the concerns with the winds, etc. This will definitely be a time in our lives that won't be forgotten🙏
So scary, I'm glad you're with family & safe now! We're in the Buffalo area & survived the blizzard of 2022. We were snowed in for a week & luckily didn't lose power so cooked our thanksgiving turkey & had that for the week. Many people were leaving work but got trapped in their cars for days by the 6 foot snow, rescue vehicles couldn't get to a lot of people & some ran out of fuel & froze. It was a very big deal, people were without heat in their homes from the power outage & unable to get help from emergency services with the roads blocked. It seemed like no one else in the country really cared, I remember a cousin of mine in Maryland reached out to see if we were ok & none of her friends even knew there was a blizzard. I understand what it's like to be surviving a catastrophic weather event where a lot of people outside the event don't fully grasp the magnitude. We'll continue praying for your family & everyone affected by the fire.
I'd say u guys were blessed and had a guardian angel watching over ur family. Just hearing ur kids cry and u frantically looking for ur purse put it into reality and I just started balling. I'm so glad u and ur family are ok and ur house is still standing. I couldn't imagine. A house fire is one of my biggest fears and u guys were this close 🤏🏻. God bless. 🥹💕🫶🏻
My heart goes out to you, your family, and all those affected by this fire. Your emotions are palpable. What an amazing job you all did- teaching your children, proactively leaving before your mandatory evacuation notice, keeping yourselves and especially your children safe. When you are in a safe place, there are many resources to help you all. Take care of yourselves, let others help you when needed, and know you will be ok. ❤
Six Years ago, yesterday. There was a wildfire in Paradise California. On that morning, just like you guys. Me and my family were ready to evacuate because we saw that the fire was close. Strong winds, strong smoke, sky was DARK. But we’re dumb And not too worried about it. We should have been, since little that we knew; are house WAS going to burn down in paradise along with most of the other houses in the town. And me and my two brothers were some of the ages your kids are now when it all happened. So I feel for them and understand how overwhelming it must have been and probably still is for All your kids. Having a thick cloud of smokr go above you guys, indicating that the fire is THAT close. Is almost, if not as scary as what me and my family and many others went through in paradise. Which is driving through fire literally. Above us, below us, and on each two sides of us. You two are superheroes! Your wonderful parents to them, and I’m SO glad you guys are safe. You all deserve that. So, way to bring back trauma you guys! 😡. I’m just kidding, XD. Even though mine and yours experiences with fire was traumatic. It for sure lent me and my other family members to God because of it. Because he turned what NOTHING when we had nothing, into something. A new house and community that we have had for the last 4 years. And even though, it’s not that same experience because your house is still there. I pray that to get over this scary time, you all will also come to a peace with it all and all rest in Gods promises that everything will be alright.
I'm so sorry about the Mountain Fire. If this happens again it will be terrible. I'm still glad your family is alright. Thanks for telling us all about it.
Thank you for posting this and explaining the fires. I’ve been concerned for you guys and so glad to hear you and the house are safe. Please keep us updated. Happy Birthday, Bailey! Wish I could hug you all🩵
God be with you all! When we lived in Cali, we went through major fires in San Diego. People can speculate on what they would do in case of fire, but until you look out and see the fire heading right in your way, you truly have no clue. I lived where the 8 and 15 merged, and it was no joke. We ended up being evacuated to Coronado Island for several days and another week of clean up. Let your faith lead you as you recover from the fires.
How scary and devastating - thank you so much for updating us and thank goodness you are all safe. Sending good thoughts and prayers to you and to all affected. Hugs!
I’ve been watching you guys for over a decade, I cannot express to you how grateful I am that you are all OK. You should be proud of yourself, Jessica, for making the right decisions when you did. Sending so much love and healing your way. Please take care of yourself, trauma from this type of event is very real- however, you are all safe and that is of upmost importance!!
Grateful you are safe and all together. Happy Birthday, Bailey! Thank you for explaining all that happened, I live in the south and it's so much more than a fire or tornado. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Namaste
I started crying listening to the panic from the kids as you left the house. To hear Parker say something about being good or safe in such a relaxed voice, he is such a strong individual! Glad you are all safe. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Truly a horrifying event!! Im so glad you all are safe, and were able to go to Colleen's house. Good on you for prepping the kids on what to do in an evacuation- such a helpfull skill to have. My heart breaks for those kiddos, and Im glad they had some solace with cousin time at the end of it all... and Christopher taking Bailey to her concert. Bravo, dad!! Sending so much love and peace.
I’m so glad you guys are all safe. I can’t imagine what you were feeling at that moment and even now. I hope you all will be able to proceed this experience and get through it without PTSD. Sending love and hugs.
My heart hurts for you all. I was sobbing watching this. Literally I have been watching you all for almost 5 years and you feel like part of my family. I’m glad you made this video even though you don’t owe anyone an update it’s fine to focus on yourselves and I completely understand. But I’ve also been so worried for you and I’m glad to know you are all okay. Give all the kiddos a big hug from me that’s so scary. Sending all the love ❤️❤️
We've survived 3 F5 tornados in Moore, Oklahoma, and it's so scary. Especially with children and pets. You two did great. Anytime we have to get in the shelter, it's the most stressful and terrifying moment. Sending you all the healing and ❤
The fires can hit anywhere at anytime like you said, 40 years ago I lived in a normal suburb in outer Melbourne Australia when a fire took hold in bushland but came up a gully and it was the flying embers that hit the houses and destroyed them , any vacant land was burnt to fence lines , no internet back in those days, no power, no phones just a man in a truck with a megaphone telling us to evacuate, I was heavily pregnant at the time , everyone was safe and the wind changed but unfortunately the direction it changed burnt 25 houses down in a normal suburb, so watching your clips bought back so many memories, never stay behind if you feel unsafe just go . So glad you guys are all safe 🙌🏻💕
Thanks for the update and explaining it all, as I live in the U.K. I have seen about the wildfires in the news here. I’m glad you’re all safe and I sincerely wish your family the very best of luck with everything.😢🤗🤞
Oh wow what happened is extremely terrifying. I'm extremely relieved for the safety of you all, continuing to pray for your whole family and everyone affected by this ❤🙏

I remember back in the late 80s, early 90s there were not this many fires and people actual enjoyed the warm Santa Ana winds coming from the desert, even looked forward to them….and now everyone fears them.

We just went through the same thing in June. I live in Ruidoso, NM and our entire village got evacuated. I didn't think I had trauma from it until I saw your videos. It reminded me of how scary it is. I'm glad to say way got out safely and our home remained in tact. I'll be hoping for the best for you all ❤
I'm so relieved to hear you’re all safe, and I hope your house remains unharmed. That must have been such a terrifying experience, but I’m glad you were able to stay with Colleen and Eric during such a stressful time.
So grateful that you, the children and animals are safe. I’m so glad that you left when you did, as a parent to stay calm for your children when you’re scared of the outcome yourself is a challenge. When we were in Greece last year there was a fire on the side of the mountain that was a few miles away, but looked so close. We luckily never had to evacuate, but the next village did. We packed a bag just in case with the essentials. It was the glow of the fire at night that was really unnerving so for you to be in the thick of it must of been terrifying. Also the air quality is something that you don’t think about until it happens. I hope that you will be able to return to your house soon and there is no damage. Do take care of yourselves. By the look of Colleen’s latest video the older children seem to be having fun singing musicals with her, it acts as a great distraction.
I am so so sorry yall went through this and so glad yall are safe. My house was one of the few to survive a CA wildfire in our area when I was a kid. Also were on top of a mountain and the winds kicked it up quick. It’s such a scary thing and my heart is with the kids. I wanna commend yall for actually going over fire safety with your kids though and letting them know what things are important in an emergency and why. My parents did none of that, asked me to pack a bag with no explanation at 2am, and then yelled at me when I had packed nothing but some PJS and books bc I didn’t know what was happening. That experience is honestly the part of it that makes me feel most sad and confused looking back. I am genuinely glad your kids will not have that and that you were able to have them be well prepared bc you thought ahead.
I have been so worried about you guys I am so relieved you guys are safe. ❤ This is so traumatic and scary, sending so much love to you and the family. Sending extra love to Bailey too! That’s like a whole level of traumatic, on her birthday ❤🙏🏻❤️ Thank you for sharing this update.
