Hi Nags, thank you for preparing this full length dax course. It is very useful. Especially explaining with scenarios. However, i have a small suggestion that before start using dax function, it would be really useful to fully understand the functionality of the dax or criteria required for it. For example Calculate(expression, filter1, filter2...). If you can explain this formula fully before start using it, will let us know the functionality of the dax.The current method appears a person who has some level of knowledge only, will be able to grasp the concept fully. Once again, thank you for your courses.

Hi Sir, Super duper way of explaining. Really very logical way of teaching. Watched many youtube channels but didn't come accross that way you teach. I have subscribed and want to follow you.
First time i find great channel you explain in a great way to dax with business intelligence i request u pls make video question and answer for power bi which ask in interview
1) Power BI is a columnar database. So the dimensions can only be used in axis. 2) To Calculate all location sales use: Calculate(sum(data[sales]), ALL(data[location])), Here filter context is overwritten only for location column. 3) To Calculate all sales use: Calculate(sum(data[sales]), ALL(data)), Here filter context is overwritten for the entire data.
Hello, First of all Thanks for all these videos! Ok, as we know there are multiple ways to get your result in this case we can simple - We can use a pie chart with Location and a measure for total Sales this will give us the % and a better visual analysis. Power BI experts add your method what you will do for this?
at 8:32 , instead of creaitng the All Loc Sales measure , can i skip creating that and directly get the % of sales? I'm imagining like nesting the All Loc Sales into the % of sales measure..
Hi Nag, i have one query regarding the filter concept mentioned at last of the video. In all loc sales measure we are mentioning it as ALL[Data] so that any column filter cant apply on that measure..my qstn is what if we have filter from another table i.e. data2 which has date table..how to avoid that scenario..pls ans this qstn
Just one question when you used all location total sales the last one in which use all and calculate now the filter started working there how come ? The percentage one I am asking about .
Thanks Nag for sharing your knowledge. Just wanted to check if you provide online classes? I am Interested in learning Power BI & other analytics tools.

hi nag..is this dax playlist enough for real time work or nee to learn more dax functions
More than enough.
@@AnalyticswithNags thank you so much for this playlist ..
For using all in calculate function we can just use sum function ..
Go through DAX playlist first 10 videos you will understand better
so calculate function is more like conditional if, aggregating values based on condition, like SUMIF, COUNTIF, AVERAGEIF etc in EXCEL
Watch it again
