Hi. Can you give more information about your current configuration? Can Fortigate reach to your DNS server? Did you configure your local DNS server IP in your Fortigate DNS server? Do you have any other firewall in between? Is SSL inspection on?
@@HosseinAzar1 hi Hossein yes the fortigate can reach the dns server yes i configured the local IP of the isp as the ip for the fortigate DNS no other firewall in between and yes ssl inspection is on! I have also created the PTR record for the relative A record using the same IP. what could be the issue?
@@antoniocerasuolo757 Can you send me some example of IPs and Domains that are not being resolved? Here are some steps to diagnose: - Make sure domain name resolution is enabled: config log setting set resolve-hostname enable end - Check if your Fortiguard service is working: diagnose debug rating - Enable gui hostname resolve: config log gui-display set resolve-hostname enable end At the end, can you tell me when this happend? Was it working before? Did any changed caused this issue? Let me know which one of these was helpful in your case.
