They used the Diesel from 2006 to 2016 They were also super dominant (Except 2010, 2011 or 2014) They won 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 (by pure reliability), 2011 (One of the best Le Mans races i have watched), 2012, 2013 and 2014 (again by reliability the Toyotas were faster that year overall and won the manufacturers title)

new a4 is better in everyway... that car will maybe do 30K more miles before it blows itself apart. It will likely only do about 7.5K.

Yeah... why buy a good daily diesel wagon, when you can buy a gas guzzling sports machine. I don't think that the RS4 and the A4 Diesel have the same target group. Both good cars, but the RS4 isn't a good replacement for a new A4 Diesel

I was dissapointed you didn't say more about the Tatra :D. In Czech Republic and Slovakia, they are (to this day) thought about as the most indestructible trucks in the world - there were (at least) two around the world trips with Tatra trucks and back in the day these trucks were winning rally dakar like nothing. And in the past, Tatra also made really cool road cars (Is that how you call them in english?), I recommend looking into that. :D
