Do you Know? How Plane was invented?
Wilbur and Orville were raised by a father who encouraged curiosity and exploration. Their father, Milton Wright, was a bishop and frequently traveled, bringing back toys and gadgets that sparked the boys’ imaginations. One of these toys-a rubber band-powered helicopter-fascinated the young brothers and would later inspire their quest for flight. However, neither Wilbur nor Orville had a formal education in engineering. They were self-taught inventors, showing that sometimes raw passion and curiosity can overcome any lack of formal training.

She was just not a good pilot despite the ton of marketing that made her out to be one. Film exists of her making lousy, unsafe landings. Other pilots of the time were critical of her abilities. Rumor had it on her ill-advised final trip, the male navigator onboard was the actual pilot. The plane she was in when she crashed was way out of her league. She could've been better prepared over time but was rushed into the flight by greedy publicists and the news media, and paid for it. I believe I read somewhere she doubted the last journey was a good idea. Salute to Amelia.

@@makingsense0 Yeah, the story of the Hindenburg's arrival wasn't considered to be such a big deal as to warrant setting up an expensive amplified phone line from Lakehurst to Chicago, which was a very expensive proposition. So, Herb Morrison, and an engineer, flew to Lakehurst, where he would record the description of the landing to an acetate disc, which would then be flown back to Chicago for playback at their studio at 1230 West Washington Ave. The rest, as they say, is history.
