So what turned you off God to make you doubt his existence when you live in a world that had to be designed by someone in order for it to operate the way it does? Plus you are moving around in a body that is so intricately fashioned that it can heal itself. With a brain that can glean enough information to write coherent sentences. Evolutionary theory is bang! And a world sprung into life. Philosophy and mythology are based on finite human logic with the highest plain for perfect good being the universe which is open gassy space. Whereas a Christian God (unlike mythological deities) is all-seeing, all-knowing, incredibly detailed, and caring enough and merciful enough to let his creations (humans) destroy our own place he gave us to live in and watch us turn our backs on him and deny he even exists, and he loves us regardless. What other god ever cared about us so much that he would even think it necessary to come down in the form of a man to live among humans who doubt and despise him, die on a cross for you before you were even thought about let alone born, and rose from the dead. Did they ever settle on where He was actually buried then? Fishermen can’t haul around a dead body for long without being noticed. So what was it? Intellectualism, feeling abandoned by God, being hurt by the church, thinking you can manage your own life with willpower and believing in yourself? What made you believe the way you do?

You are wrong about God's existence. Here is a simple one that even you might understand. Scientists and philosophers all agree that all information is created by a mind. Science tells us that DNA is information that tells cells how to operate and how to reproduce. Even the simplest organisms have complicated DNA information. That information was created by a mind. God is that mind. Bible "stories" are not lifted from other cultures. Those other cultures merely misremember what really happened long ago and was accurately recorded in the Bible. Some people try to claim that the Bible wasn't written until the captivity a few hundred years BC. Archaeology has found so many sites and peoples mentioned in the Bible that were unknown to anyone alive a few hundred years BC and even up to recent decades. The Bible is older than the surviving manuscripts. It was written in an area that didn't have permanent materials, so it was copied over and over extremely accurately as the older copies disintegrated. We know it was copied accurately, as the very earliest manuscripts we have are almost identical to the newer ones. There are no substantive differences, just things as minor as single letters that don't change the meaning. Please read the Bible cover to cover. Study it. Watch videos about all the recent discoveries that prove the text is much older than the "experts" claimed. I have studied the Bible for almost 60 years. I have Asperger's so it's almost impossible to say or write anything untrue. I have a genius level IQ, and I am totally logical. I rely on solid proofs. I can tell you that the Bible is true from cover to cover. You may have a problem with "organized religion." I do to, as every Christian denomination emphasizes some aspects and leave out others. I picked a church that was closest to being correct. It's not perfect. No one is perfect. Everyone, in church or out, is a sinner. We are supposed to gather together to worship and to help each other.

There are plenty of arguments that don't fail. You just haven't had them explained to you yet. Here's one. Scientists and philosophers agree that if you find information recorded, it had to have been created by a mind. DNA is a recording of information. It tells cells how to make all the necessary chemicals necessary to live and reproduce. The information is recorded in digital form using a base 4 code, instead of the base 2 code that computers use. There are 4 base pairs, and their sequences encode all that information. It had to have been created by a mind. What mind do you suppose was already present at the beginning of life? We call that mind God. Just so you'll know, all those mythologies were corrupted memories of the Bible reality. The Bible stories came first. It doesn't matter how old the oldest manuscripts are. One problem is that some cultures used baked clay tablets or stone. Those records have lasted well. Other cultures used paper, papyrus, or skins. Those perish except in very dry environments. It's like trying to say Shakespeare is older than the Bible because you have a copy of Shakespeare from the 1800s and your Bible was printed in the 1900s. It's a fake argument and not logical. There is a whole lot more. Try reading the whole Bible and study it. I have studied the Bible intensely since 1966, so I know a thing or two. I am compelled to help my fellow man to find the correct path. I have told, so now it's up to you to read and study, perhaps even pray.

No its not. Christians dont actually follow the bible they just pretend to and they say they do whenever its convenient. Most christians have never even read the book

Hello Susan, glad you reached out. Our church has a ladies Bible Study on Thursday nights at 6:30 at the church, and our teacher for the ladies is awesome. We won't be having study this week, however, but it will resume next week on Thursday, December 3rd.
