I went for the good ending first go. Actually just completed my first play through last weekend. I found it really hard trying to play good, especially with my paladin until I changed to oath of vengeance which was easier. Definitely going to go the pure evil route later

When you play modded BG3 please include the "devil you Gnome" mod 😂 also fyi Larian just announced Patch 8 coming next year which includes a new subclass for each class

How to justify being evil in BG3 - you have no reason to go to the iron throne. That alone makes it worth it.

does anyone know of a way to have other player tavs show in dialogue? my friend and I have played together consistently and have not had their character show up at all and it massively detracts from our enjoyment of it

In terms of Honor mode playthroughs, most of the Evil Choices are safer and easier. Grove battle: helping Minthara is piss easy. Killing the Nightsong: gets you one of the most powerful items in the game. Become Unholy Assassin: Avoid fighting Sarevok, get overpowered gear. Kill Orin, team up with Goratash: Avoid a boss fight. Donr free Orpheus: Avoid the hardest fight in the game. Make Gale blow up the Brain: Avoid a nasty end game fight.

The thing I kind of hate about the evil playthrough is it feels empty. Especially on honor mode it feels like playing extra hard mode.

Kind of wish they had a feature exclusive to multiplayer where if one persons having a conversation they could choose to let another person step in and take over for a check.

Nah, dos2 is super easy once you get a hang of it. Rest anywhere, no spell slots (sorc don't count cuz so easy to replenish and the spells are busted too), lone wolf exists, quadruple teleportation build is possible, pyramids exist... First play through my wife and I skewed pretty NG or CG, so round 2 has us going all in on mustache-twirlingly evil. Well also explore some more nuanced places at some point, but for now it’s fun being a cartoon villain.

People for some reason just forget that you don't have to make decisions that perfectly match your alignment at all times 100% of the time. It's so weird to me. Just because your character is evil doesn't mean they will DO the evil thing every time . They still have a brain. People play evil like its some sort of mindless monster. In reality think of the most genuinely selfish, manipulative, evil person you know who is not in jail. Do they go around just straight up punching anyone they meet? You're still allowed to like people and to make decisions that you think will make them like you. You're still allowed to think "I wish I could punch that fucker" but instead choose not to because that would go against your goals. You're allowed to give your evil character more depth than a goldfish with rabies. It's not "well if I play good then I avoid all evil choices so I should do the opposite now" it's "my character wants to avoid being evil when I'm playing a good alignment, my character would prefer the evil option when I play evil". That doesn't suddenly mean they forget that people are generally pretty hostile towards people that commit genocide in front of them.

patch 7 makes it even more worth

I wish you could disable simultaneous turns, everyone running at different directions doing different things at the same time is horrible. I have wasted so many spell slots this way...

Is it me or does this game give waaaaay too much magic arrows? Cuz, everytime I give all the arrows to Astarion, I keep forgetting to use them and it result to having like half the inventory of just arrows. He's just fine with his regular arrows. Not only that, you get like 10 magic arrows every 5 minutes.😅

Playing neutral evil was fun, tough at times. Shame about the ending though. Hopefully that will be fixed in the September patch
