Sorry but I have to laugh, you are likely that guy who goes to Starbucks every morning on the way to work and goes to lunch every day at work as well, figure $6.00 a day at Starbucks for $30 dollars a week and another $15 dollars a day for lunch for another $75.00 dollars a week so that is $105 dollars a week for coffee and lunch every day now lets add that up for a year for a total cost of $5,460 dollars a year for coffee and lunch and you complain about the cost of tools? You could own one hell of a set of tools in just 5 years by cutting out the Starbucks and eating out for lunch every day. 5 x 5460 = $27,300 dollars, that would buy a very nice set of Snap On or Matco tools for a home garage.

In other words you feel the need to justify your choice by taking a shot at those who don't mind spending the money for quality tools from Snap On, Marco ect. When I work on my vehicles I want everything in its place and I want the best money can buy. Quality tools are not expensive, what is expensive is cheap tools that break, or damage what you're working on causing you to spend four times as long getting the job done. You only have to buy quality tools once, but I see people who buy cheap tools purchasing the same tools over and over again when the next new name in cheap tools come out. HOBO Freight fan boys used to say Pittsburg tools were great, then HOBO Freight came out with Quinn and they all purchased Quinn tools to replace their Pittsburg tools, then HOBO Freight came out with Icon and a bunch ran out and replaced their Quinn tools with Icon, and we are not even getting into the multiple other brands of cheap tools sold elsewhere. By the time many of the people are done they could have purchased a set of Snap On tools and been done with it.

    • @Chancesgarage

@@mustangecoboosthpp3869 I never took shots at anyone. But when I get on RUclips or any Social Media platform and I see videos of non professionals and hobbyists spending thousands on tools thinking they need to, I wanted to put out that I can do the same job with lesser tools. If you are a professional that uses these tools day in and day out by all means buy snap on. Quinn is a solid brand for hobbyists. Icon IS a brand young professionals can use. AND there are plenty of reviews that praise the quality vs price when it comes to Tekton. Price, Warranty, and ease of warranty makes Tekton and Icon a decent choice for people that don’t wanna spend a paycheck on wrenches

I've been turning wrenches for a very long time. I actually prefer shorter, more standard length wrenches most of the time because of clearance issues. I still have long pattern wrenches, but usually, the only time I reach for those is when I know something is going to be tight enough to warrant the longer length and/or I know theres enough room. But I mostly use ratchets, breaker bars, and sockets. And, I stopped buying ratcheting wrenches quite a while back. As far as cheap tools go, I try to avoid buying cheap Chinese made tools unless it's unavoidable due to poor past experiences with performance, quality, and warranty issues. Plus, I'm not big on the idea of funding communism and forced labor to a government that lives to take advantage of the United States, even at the cost of its own people, just to save a buck or two. I'm all for good Taiwan made tools, though. I own quite a few of those brands, but China is looking for any reason to invade them and put them back under communist rule. I can't afford to go out and buy the best or most expensive stuff. I do, however, enjoy using good quality tools that I know I can rely on and potentially pass on to my son or grandson. High-quality tools hold much more of their value as well.

I literally had a guy some up and say "No way you actually have a car from F&F." I laughed and said yea it is the green case was always my favorite eventhough it was only in the beginning. He looks at me weird and says "This isn't the main orange one?"

Woah that’s super cool! And it doesn’t leave any damage to the paint?

No damage at all. It leaves a residue and pieces of the rubber wheel. But just a quick wipe and some detail sprat it comes right off.
