I just received a free traeger (pro model) in good shape, this helps me troubleshoot and test thanks. What about testing the other fan? How would you be able to tell if there is something wrong with that one (the smaller fan)

On my pellet grill the pellets pile up on startup and then it catches fire. It causes a fire. What could that be?

And old friend gave me this bbq050 treager. It starts a fan but no auger movement. I'm not sure about the hot rod, did see one but didn't know of this item... I disconnected the auger and it moves freely (i emptied pellets B4 anything). I did enjoy this 055 vid. Mine appears to be older, the recipe book says 2008.just a clue Thanks for the help so far !!

On mine it’s not getting past 350. I have the pro 34. The fan works, it ignites and gets going but won’t go past 350. I cleaned it out and replaced it with all new pellets. No luck. Any ideas you can think of what it could be?

I’m not the handiest guy by far and my hopper assembly died on me. Traeger sent a new one and I had no idea how to remove the old one and insert the new one until I found this video. Cheers from Texas! Thanks!

I got the same model I found on the side of the road I’m gonna replace the fan guessing that’s why it was on the side of the road but it’s also missing that bottom grill cover piece to protect the wires etc do you guys sell that bottem piece ? Thanks

Thanks for this video. I have one of the first Timberline 850 Traeger, which uses the same auger motor that you show here. However, the newer models are totally different. The new auger motor supplied with most Traegers, today, are the same for a long time, apparently. I picked up a new motor assembly, but it didn't quite look completely like the auger motor I need to replace. After seeing your comments in this video, I went ahead and installed the new auger motor and the system is now working, again. Your comment about the fan being for looks, only, is what sold me to go ahead and try the new motor. Thanks again.

Does your temp stay consistent? I’ve got a Pitt boss 820D, the temps up and down are about plus or minus 70 degrees at times. I have purchased new heat shields but same temp swings.

So I upgraded my motor to the Gleason and Avery in my zgrill but now I’m getting back burn into the pellet box.. how do I fix this issue?

Do you have a video showing how to R&R all the internals on an "early model Timberline 1300? I have heard that the early model does not come apart like the new 1300"s

This company sends me the protypes to r and d. After you empty your hopper run the remainder through the pot until it stops. Otherwise in some climates.. it has the same effect as if you never emptied the hopper. This should be included in the video. I have a 7 vertical by pit boss that doesn't even have a serial number prototype and still runs and it is half the smoker these Traeger beauties are.

Thanks, my traeger scout came with an inverter and no instructions. I felt quite lost haha. The engine need to be on to cook? (I wasn't kidding when I said I was lost 😅)

Yeah I got the 18 inch hopper with vertical controller. It won't stop feeding pellets. The auger turns all the time. I did a review of it an suprise suprise its not shown on your website. I can't even find a new controller on your website that is the same as what came with this hopper.

lol only for auto lighting then power need drops to next to nothing. You could manually light and run the grill off of a power bank

Mine doesn’t have an Allen bolt to remove the auger. It’s a pin with a ring on the end and it won’t budge… any ideas?

Good information! Or you could always just buy a GMG pellet grill with a 12 volt electrical system that comes with the clips to hook directly to your battery!
