Simple mycelium simulation with signal transfer
This is a simple mycelium simulation, starting with multiple spore locations with stochastic apical growth and branching, and delayed lateral branching (lateral branch is generated at apex and then remains dormant until branching at a later time governed by a probability). Anastomosis is simulated via random node choice, and testing for distance and a hyphal fusion probability. A signal is passed through the network by associating states to the nodes, 0 goes to 1 if at least one neighbour is a 1, 1 goes to 2, and 2 goes to 1.

Here is a preliminary simulation of growing dendritic networks under adapted and versatile electric spring embedding, showing the interaction via simulated signals and attractive firing between networks. The algorithm that generates this behaviour shall be developed further and utilised for study of morphology of interacting dendritic networks and their computational capabilities.
