I’ll tell you what, this song is a tricky b****r to play on a stringed instrument, often the case with piano songs. Not easy to sing in places either. Then you go and make it look easy, I love his early songs, thanks for bringing it so beautifully Del.

I like this way more than the original, you added a layer of depth to the lyrics. Top shelf male version of this old pop tune. She was very famous while I was a teenager. I chose this one because I was curious about how you would have improved the song by removing the "superficial juvenile feel" and by giving to the lyrics a more mature, wiser perspective. Bravo!🙂

Although I have to say that your music, your covers and your voice is amongst the ones I missed the most. It's always great to listen to your covers and your originals. You know Del, I never saw Monkey! I know of it of course. There was another Eastern series, The Water Margin which I loved as a kind. Not sure if Monkey came later or was from the same time.
