British Airways A350-1000 departure
San Diego has 2 A350s from the UK and beyond as a result of increased international travel. BA uses the longer variant which has 6 wheel bogies like the 777. Liberty Station provides a good spot to catch Runway 27 departures.

Winter time equipment for British Airways recently reinstated service between London Heathrow and San Diego. Previous to this they used 777-300 during late daylight months and a 747-400 during the early dusk months. I had thought the A350 was coming, but they put on the Dreamliner. Once again, Marston Pont is the viewpoint.

Delta Airlines has been using twin aisle craft on more domestic flights as international routes are cutback due to pandemic. The view is from Marston Point about a mile east of the runway.

Back to the Fall/Winter use of 747 on the Heathrow-San Diego flight. Like I did for the A340, I took this from a head on angle to show how much the plane wobbles on approach.

Without the sense of linear travel by viewing from head on, the jet appears to just float in for a landing. Small issue is the heat warp from the field. After landing, look close to see the tail swish back and forth and then the back of the plane come up as the reversers are applied. The jet had the Star Alliance livery. The view point is a place called Liberty Station.

Can't get enough A340, can I? In San Diego, it's a sight to behold. Unlike most jets including long range 777 and 787 which have 2 engines, the 340 has 4 making it look more like the DC-8 and 707 of old. The trick is being right there with the camera at the right time. After a Monarch caterpillar stuffs itself on milkweed, it finds a place to attach itself and hang upside-down for half a day (roughly). Airbus 340-300 overhead Edelweiss Air

Cloudy San Diego late afternoon. Edelweiss comes in for landing as viewed from old parking lot by former Naval hospital. No wire fence in the way. The Airbus 340 has a somewhat unique center gear. It shares similar capacity with its 2 engined sibling, the 330. Edelweiss livery is reminiscent of a watercolor drawing. San Diego gets this service to Zurich twice a week during the summer.

Sister and I raised a few Monarch butterflies from caterpillars last Fall. I caught this one coming out from it's chrysalis. It takes a few minutes for the insect to unfold everything.

Well there will be starting next year! Lufthansa will operate a350-900 san diego-munich 3x a week then upped to 5x a week in May 2022
This ride seems not quite as bad as tango or the other upside down rides

It is ridiculous how people down vote a video. This has the best audio quality of all the videos on this synth and you show and demonstrate actual functions of the synth and what make it different. I give ten thumbs up.

I was so mad when I went to the delmarfair because I was 53'' inches at the time and basically all the rides there are 54'' inches and at sixFlags x2 is 48'' inches and the 54'' inch rides at the delmar fair are mstly should be only 48'' inches.
