Me too. It is a must own for fans of Mike De Leon and of Philippine Cinema in general! Though English speaking audience would have to wait for a separate release which I feel has a high likeihood of happening in the future (hopefully).

Its a good set to own if you like the work of the director in one singular package since it contains all but 1 film of his (Sister Stella L).

I believe Insiang and Manila are both in the Criterion Collection Channel. A lot of his works are still existing. Compared to his other contemporary filmmakers, he's more fortunate as others have little surviving. Its just that films are mostly barely watchable so thats probably why not much streaming internationally aside from those 2. Boatman has a directors cut released on VHS, quality is watchable. You may find a copy someplace.

Unfortunately, these kind of shops are very scarce if they still exist. one that comes to mind is CDs Atbp. (Search their facebook page for their address) Also, you might be able to walk by a thrift shop that sells a few titles. Best chance in getting filipino films on physical media locally nowadays is really from secondhand sellers online (Fb Marketplace, Carousell, Shopee) but that seems to be getting harder as well. Yes, its a pity that Regal Films has not been acting on restoring their titles unlike ABS-CBN and Viva Films. Too bad cause I really want to to see a lot of their classic films like Hinugot sa Langit and Scorpio Nights in HD. Hopefully its not yet too late.

Come on. It's always packaging on plastic cover because it won't get damage the cover while it's fresh/new condition. And you really experience about the bootleg/pirated made DVD of covers, discs and quality (but for now, they switched to Digital (on both Legit/License and Unlicense Pirated) that they watch for free or within trial)

They used to have it before. Must have been a limited time or their stock just ran out. I couldn't see the page anymore on JBHIFI. You can try Amazon or Ebay.

I haven’t checked this one yet. but so far yes, the Japanese releases I got of Filipino movies do no not have english subtitles. Only Japanese subs. And some of them have alternate rrack for Japanese dubbing, Good thing the original audio is also included 😁

The releases from Italy and Australia (what I have) are in individual cases while the ones from US and UK have all the discs in big cases. The Australian release should be easiest to spot. It has a rectangular sky blue sticker (lower left corner) for the rating. Let me know if this helps. 👍🏽

There are a lot of online sellers for music and movies in Facebook market, carousel. May konting sellers sa shopee and lazada. Shop with caution nga lang since buying online is risky. 😁👍🏽
