Since Ptown unfortunately lost a landowner, the trail is super short. I believe my GPS showed it to be ~3.7miles total. That meant a lot of laps and tough lap traffic. Hot weekend at Byron. Heat index of 103! I rode 'meh' just couldn't find a good flow in the woods and I was embarrassingly slow on the MX track. I tried to keep it smooth and consistent. I ended up 2nd after hitting a bit of a wall from not drinking any of my camel back most of the race like an idiot!

First real race on the GasGas 350. Good start for the very dusty conditions. Was pushing for first the first couple of laps then had a few very close calls at high speed and backed it down a bit. Lost contact and then fell into just a good trail pace. Ended up 4th in class for the day but kept it on 2 wheels.

Odd race this weekend! Got to the race site, bought a new (to me) 2022 GasGas EX350F. No plan on racing it at all. I did the standard pre-purchase checks for a good used bike. That was it.
