How did it die
Sadly, all I have to work with are 2 old AMT cutaway Aluminum Falcons... Both have some warping, one worse than the other. I'd love to get my hands on a Bandai kit. I did an X-Wing and it was sweet.
One day I'll get this kit. For the red panels though I plan to paint them and use liquid mask for the paint chipping which I recently saw used for something else.
great model for 700 dollars though idk

That is one awesome looking kit and Amazing build! Would love to get one for myself, but i have no space for the build nor the funds to buy one xD
Hi just subbed to your channel , i really like your technique , was fascinated on your skills in painting which i hope to learn from , in the process of getting this model ( bidding on one lol ) . Greetings from the east coast of the UK Lincolnshire
Szacunek dla Ciebie za tą pracę 👍👋👋, choć wydaje mi się , że odrobinę za bardzo pobrudziłeś Sokoła na górze
Brilliant video ❤
Consider using vacuum chamber to degas the resin to remove the air bubbles
look much better than my. Glued in couple hours 1995. but look great.
Nice build. Music was too loud.
Ultimate question: this model vs the one from DeAgostini? :)
I really want this model but do I have the skills to do it justice
Which type of blue did you use. Ok clear blue but could you give a suggestion e.g. in Vallejo? Thanks in advance
is this kit snap together like Gundams? is there a kit with color correct spruse? thx
Very nice! Thanks for the what to do and what NOT to do. I got one last night not nearly as big as yours, but the first one I have killed without pulverizing beyond recognition. Did you have it in water until you pinned it to the foam? Also, super big thanks on the sanding info. I play with resin, but never know how to get rid of the edges without the cloud. I will have to go back and write it down. Not aware of polishing compound in 2 grains. Good to know!
As close to perfection as possible. Next - Star Destroyer?
This looks an incredible build, you’re very talented and patient to make this look so life like. Next time I go to Japan I’m looking for some Star Wars kits.
The force is with you!
Wish I found this earlier. Something I've learned from creating my own rendition of the DeAgostini 42" ESB Falcon is that surprisingly the Falcon does actually have yellow panels in places mixed in with the cream colored panels. I found this out by chance and ironically it was while detailing the dorsal turret's port side panel. It caused me to go back and look harder at it's original models through photos online and other references, which after a maddening two years of research led me to tell which were fake and which were real. Modeller Magic has been and is a really good resource. Now for the disturbing part. I felt Insignia White was too glossy for my tastes so I had actually settled for Titanium Silver for a more metallic look. I can hear it now. "You destroyed that Falcon!" and yet, when it was all finished, I'm actually quite happy with the results. I cheated though, I tested it out first on a $50 Bandai 1/144 kit.
Did you empty its abdomen and how did the spider hold up after encasing?
Beautiful work! *chef's kiss* One of my biggest regrets was that I didn't get into modelling as a kid (when my eyesight was better).
Model looks awesome! What did you use to clean off the excess panel liner?
I built one of these a couple years ago. Best model I have ever worked with. I wish it was a bit more affordable as I’d love another chance to build one.
Thanks for posting this video. Great hints and tips. I'm now really looking forward to building mine.
It will eventually silver. Cause it wasn't dried out .
If it dries out, wouldn't it shrink? Over time it did shrink but that's because one of the legs let airflow through after I sanded it. When I make more I will seal it properly
@@kerberosmodels yes that's what silvering is. It's when the insect especially the big plump wet spots dry shrink and sometimes pull away from the resin leaving a clear void where it's body was up against the resin.
@@kerberosmodels I believe when preserving things like spiders, alcohol can be used to halt decay and keep the body plump with something that also won't risk reacting with the resin
@creaturedomes9364@@shibibi1 I heard, that you should put a spider in boiling water. The protein will stiffen and it will not dry out later. But i havent done a project so far ... so, only hear say.
Not good enough start over again! nah its Awesome super good work.
awful music , awful english
Would you recomend this for someoen who never made any model?
Magnifique
How did you kill her ?
Wow! I really love the way this model turned out, what a beautiful job. I’m in the process of doing a similar model and just like to what oils and clean coats of paints you use to achieve this look. Some advice would greatly be appreciated. Again great job 👏🏽
Wow. Fantastic work. Great Millennium Falcon. Greetings Aleš from Czech Republic 😎👌
👏👏👏😲👍
Excellent work
That would be a great model to build but man it cost as much as a car payment
can you give an update now as far as any decay? I’m debating removing the insides of the belly but nervous to mess it up… especially if it’s not necessary
Totally amazing!!! Outstanding work! It really looks like It was real. I hope I can do such a good job, too, on mine model kit
500 pounds now ...dam ! Great job !
excellent work...just excellent...
Looks really awesome. Thanks for sharing
Excellent paint job.
This is so spectacular. Question: which blue paint did you use for plastic clear engine pieces?
Is there any reccomendations you have for a begginer modeller for painting and how to take your models to the next level without spending way too much time and money would be greatly appreciated
I am just venturing into the world of models beyond lego and have recently build my first gunpla and loved it and found out about these Star Wars models and rlly want to collect some
