Wow, I'm totally surprised and shocked that no one corrected this post. First, it is Bronski Beat NOT The Communards and the song is NOT called "Run Away" it is called "Smalltown Boy" and THAT is from Bronski Beat NOT The Communards. If you want to get super technical, the band was called Communards not The Communards for the first album. However, several singles came out as The Communards and the 2nd album "Red" was by The Communards. Strangely, their very first single "You Are My World" released in 85 was labeled The Communards but the follow up singles "Don't Leave Me This Way", "So Cold The Night" and "Disenchanted" were released as Communards. However, the 1987 re-release of "You Are My World" was back to The Communards just in time for their 2nd album "Red" where all of the singles and the album were released under the moniker The Communards.

I deeply miss the 80's. Loved the music. There was always something new coming out. Always a new tune to find. When we moved into our first apt. It took me three trips in a Cherokee Chief to move all my records. Pretty sure the landlord was panicking, when they saw my ASR Monitors being carried by two of us into the little 3 story walk up. If I recall right, there was close to 90-100lbs of magnets in each cabinet driving the four 12", two 8" mid-range, and four 2" horn tweeter, in each one. Don't think my parents minded seeing them go out the door. I cracked the plaster in every room of the house with them. But I needed that sound to hear all the great music coming out then. The new speakers sound great, and don't have to take up 1/2 of a wall. But it was just like being at a concert and you could feel the base from your head to toes. I'm lucky I can still remember the lyrics to almost every song from back then. Maybe that's why I can never remember what I'm standing in the kitchen. I'm pretty sure i went in there for something!!! No room left to remember why.
I miss the 80's so much. It's music like this that puts you in a trance, moves you inside and makes you feel very peaceful. A glorious era and decade to live in!
