I'm sorry I'm a bit late, but you just earned yourself a new subscriber. This very topic has been on my mind a lot lately, especially in regard to people like Chris Chan or the whole "karen" phenomena, and while I know these people can do some very hurtful and bizarre things, they are still mentally disturbed and vulnerable members of society. People in general seem pretty selective with which mentally ill people they sympathize with and which ones they don’t, but no matter what, the logic for the selectivity is ridiculous. If I’m not mistaken, it seems like conservatives will usually allow a pass to a person if they present more obvious signs of a disability, like those with Down Syndrome or severe autism, but otherwise people with mental illness are just “weak” or have no responsibility in their eyes. Leftists are even stranger in this regard: it’s like if you're some random influencer on TikTok talking about mental health, you're brave, and if you’re extremely low-functioning, they’ll tolerate you- but there’s this sweet spot where the person is overall low-functioning but just functioning enough that it’s okay to mock them, since they “should know better,” like Chris Chan. Every group in society has a favorite punching-bag of emotionally unstable people. Conservatives are very cold towards the struggles of trans people, and leftists are very cold towards the struggles of incels, and people in general are very cold towards so-called “karens,” but honestly, people are hurting so badly and I just wish every side would have compassion. It makes me feel so hopeless and disillusioned with everyone, but then it’s in alienating moments like this that I realize Christ is the only way. Anyway, sorry, I enjoyed your vid!

definitely agree that the color contrasts were off for Asha, the art style left the character designs feeling very 1 dimensional.

you should have kept her original hair- it's the one thing that worked pretty great in the movie (they did the "weight" and texture of the hair just right. the way you changed it she just looks even more out of princess sophia...sorry...). The dress....well....you spent too much "budget" on filling it with stars, meanwhile the design as a whole was worse, more bland than the original. If you attempt a redesign, don't try and make it "look pretty" as a drawing (with twinkles and shines and such), but rather focus on shapes, silouettes, etc

I wish you kept the Cottagecore/Medieval inspiration for the redesign. It was pretty, and lends itself to fantastical designs like stars in the night sky with large hanging sleeves!

Sia has EDS. It’s heavily associated with autism and is even one cause of autism because it is a genetic collagen mutation that structures the brain differently, aka not neurotypical. There is a very good possibility that Sia is high functioning and on the autism spectrum. I personally have both. EDS effects anything with collagen so, everything in your body. EDS leaves you prone to organ ruptures, joint dislocations, lack of oxygen to the brain, ataxia, tachycardia, gastroperesis, brain aneurism, sudden death and so much more. EDS is an invisible disability and we go through life being confronted for stuff like this, being called weird, freaks. liar, faker, attention seeking etc. and that is exactly what is going on here. EDS gives us thick stretchy skin and an elastic heart that stretches to the point it snaps and bursts. And another one bites the dust. The reverse ableism thrown at Sia is astounding and I think many owe Sia an apology. Sia owes no apology. EDS is one of the most excruciating disorders around when things break down and it’s deadly. Sia is not as able as you might think, and is much closer to the autistic community than you might think too.

So and I could be wrong about this (it has been a while since I watched the documentary) but the original shera (or at the very least the one you’re talking about here) was made by women for women? Like sure maybe not their whole staff but they really were focused on female empowerment and gave shera more of a fit body type instead of the barbie body type to show women could be powerful and strong too! Shera was also popular with the guys and was even MORE popular then He man plus Shera and He man were siblings (if I’m correct!) it’s not saying much considering it was the 80s but still even then! Anyways that’s about it :)
