And this is why I like British sim racers, there is a sense of fairness that resides in all of them. My setup was doing things the car normally doesn't do here. The front end was just dancing under braking at the hairpin, refusing to turn.

I was wondering what happened to you. I expected you to be much faster because I see this track like Detroit Belle Isle. I did not like the community set up, and I did not like the iRacing set up so I bought a set up from the majors garage, and I liked it much better. I won a race with eight people in it on Tuesday, so I didn’t think I would get more points than that. Good luck on Sunday.

Cool! I like the classics. I'm guessing this is rFactor 2. What mod is it? I raced the heck out of the HistorX mod for rFactor 1 and it seems very similar.

One more thing, I also spun twice on my first Q lap. Tried the iRacing base with way more wing. True to science, the extra wing does not help in the last two very slow corners. You race like I do, we don't like to hold up faster drivers. I was trying my hardest, running good lines and concentrating and I still could not pull away, so when I had a bad run out of the esses, I did not go for the defending line. I figured you had suffered enough, and sure enough, once you got around me, you pulled away completely.

Your so right about the iRacing staff running on Wednesdays. Wish they would come back. Always good racing with you Ben, because I can trust you. (Except for that little race ending incident at Belle Isle. :)) My screen was stuttering quite a bit here, finally freezing up for a few seconds causing me to lightly crash, losing 3 to 4 seconds a lap. Also shortly after you passed me, I was chasing down Warren who was losing time for some reason, and he spun right in front of me and we contacted, causing me a minor loss in top speed. One question, did you have more downforce than the community set? I think that was the difference.

Good race & result!

It was the first race I've done with the driving line on, because I still was not familiar with the track. I don't know how real drivers did it in the days before simulators, because this track was so hard to learn. I knew it had a tendency to spin if you brought too much speed into the corners, but I did not have enough time to test a fix. I think it's in the differential settings. I spun about 4 times I think.

Good job avoiding the first lap shenanigans.
