what do you mean by push the knees as far as possible? are u saying push ur knees in the respective directions during the stretch? because in the illustration the person just slightly has their knees forward and backwards.
Hi Adam, I'm saying slide the right knee as far back as able and slide the left knee with the left hand as far forward as able to stretch the tight muscles of a reverse S-curve scoliosis. Hope this helps!
@@therani3d ok thanks but do i slide my knees as i perform the exercise creating a tension or are you saying to do set myself up like this before the exercise

Is there any Technique for OA knee & can you say some dysfunction in OA knee ??

Many many thanks sir
When reason for that case is ligament laxity then how any manipulation/strength will fix that? Will ligaments tighten over time when joints will be placed properly with muscles for long time period?
If the reason for the pelvic downslip is ligamentous laxity, then the goal is to strengthen the hip hiker muscles that can prevent the downslip. Exercising these muscles regularly will result in appropriate tension around the pelvis over time that will prevent the downslip. Great thinking!
@@therani3d the question is ligaments will stay elongated or they will rebuild for new position?
@@StraszyFyFy they will stay elongated if you have a downslip which can cause your muscles to tense up more to stabilize the rest of the lumbopelvic joint. This muscle hypertonicity can result to muscle trigger points and pain.
@@therani3d I think You didn't understand my question or i don't understand Your response... Will ligaments rebuild or stay elongated after whole rehab process?
@@StraszyFyFy the ligaments can rebuild if there are signs of a ligamentous tear, that's the only way it can rebuild. If it is just stretched or elongated, it may just stay elongated. It also depends on the ligamentous injury you have sustained.
definitely will try this! i just learnt that i have a reverse S curve. thank you.
Any more questions and guidance with exercises, please reach out. Thanks so much!
Can Shockwave go as deep as needle? I have sore point all the time when running and just can't get rid of it through theraband excercises, foam rolling or stretches. I am just afraid of nerve or artery. I have weird feeling right deep behind tibia aswell.
Shockwave therapy or ESWT is non-invasive and basically sound waves that goes through your tissues not breaking the skin barrier to increase blood flow. Dry needling breaks through the skin barrier with the same aim and both of these interventions go deep. If you feel like ESWT is not eliminating your symptoms, then you might want to try dry needling with electrical stimulation to see if that will help you. You can do this by getting a referral from your Primary Care Physician for Outpatient PT for dry needling and ask in your area a PT that is certified in dry needling. Hope this helps.

The meaning of FRSL is Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. The music is unnecessary and annoying.

Utterly ridiculous. Over-use of medical terms to try and impress.
Haha English please
I apologize if you felt that there was overuse of medical terms in this video. This video was requested by a Doctor of PT student and a PT staff. Thanks so much and cheers. Sorry for the late reply.
@@andrewkreuter3147 do you struggle with more than two syllables?
@@therani3d that’s not the point I was making. The terminology was utterly unnecessary in terms of explaining the issue and how to resolve it. Suggest you watch other videos on the topic to see a comparison.

If you are willing to be a part of it, I can post the video that way so you can get the exercises you need. I will need to ask you some more questions though so I can do a most recent literature research for the most current exercises and mobility program you'll need. Is this ok?
@@therani3d yaa ok
@@uv2393 Ok, just a few questions, when did you notice the asymmetry in your body? how did it start? Any history of scoliosis or any leg length discrepancy issues?
@@therani3d just recently I found that ........i haven't noticed any type of scoliosis issue but yaa I feels that my right leg length is very little shorter then the left one may be due to posture issue i haven't suffer any leg injury in my life..... I feels that my right knee my right hip and my right shoulder is little bit smaller then left one
@@uv2393 I may need you to do a forward bending test so I can see what type of scoliotic curve you have since the type of curve can explain why your left shoulder and knee is lower than the right. In a standing position, try to bend on your waist to touch your toes while keeping your knee straight. Then have someone be on your back and observe which side of the back becomes higher, the right or left.
lowkey helpful im clumsy as hell

Thanks man, I really do appreciate this video and your help. I’ll make sure to do those treatments that you recommended. Do you think this is why my right SI joint is so sensitive and hurts? Or could it be another factor? And just to make sure, should I focus on strengthening just my right hamstring or both?
Strengthen both, just more reps on the right side. I wish I could assess your asymmetry:( if you need more help, reach out and we can do a video call.
Thank you for your videos! One question I have is, how to know if there is an upslip or a downslip? For example, let’s say all pelvic landmarks are higher on the left (iliac crest, ASIS, pubis, greater trochanter), just as you show in your upslip video. That means that all pelvic landmarks are lower on the right. So is that a left upslip or a right downslip? The supine to sit test doesn’t clarify this since with an upslip, the leg on the upslip side is always shorter (in supine and in long sitting); with a downslip, the leg on the downslip side is always longer. So again, I’m not sure how’d you’d tell if there is an upslip or downslip, and manually correcting the wrong thing could cause injury. Any thoughts?
Hi Kelly, to determine which side has the upslip or downslip, call it based on the symptomatic side. If all pelvic landmarks are higher on the left with left low back/pelvic pain, then it's an upslip. But if the pain is on the right, then it's a downslip. If the pain. If the pain is on both sides, then you will need to perform the manual therapy corrections. Whichever correction results to lesser pain, then that is the dysfunctional side. Hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, just message or reach out as these questions your posting are the ones I get all the time from DPT students and other PTs/PTAs.
