Techno patterns from scratch 2 (Syntakt Elektron)
In this video, I continue to experiment with LFOs, creating interesting sounds and various patterns. Every time I stop the pattern and then turn it back on, the sound changes. This is my experimental method of creating techno patterns and groove from a chaos of events. I wasn't prepared for this video; everything was done from scratch, so it's not perfect.

What is techno? (Syntakt + Digitakt + Analog four)

Usually, someone's techno jams appeal to a small audience. But if such a format is okay, then I can record my ideas more often and for a longer duration #analogfour #digitakt #elektronsyntakt #syntakt #techno #technomusic #technoproducers

In this video, I'm trying to find an interesting techno sound. I'm using my experimental method of sound searching with two LFO generators. Here is simply my workflow. This is my practice, exploring the capabilities of Syntakt. This might be useful for subscribers, as few can create an interesting techno track from scratch. 0:00 making an interesting kick 2:05 making something akin to a shaker ...

Techno patterns from scratch (Syntakt Elektron)

In this video, I am creating techno patterns from scratch, actively using LFO generators. Each time after a pause, the pattern plays from a new spot due to the LFO settings, creating a new sound. It's very interesting to experiment in this way. If you enjoy this video, make sure to subscribe. Syntakt elektron/techno jam (abstraction)
Love it
Oh yes 👊🏻
Awesome. How did you achieve it ? Thanks
@@KaosEngineering Hi! If you’re talking about randomization, it’s achieved through 2 LFOs. In my other videos, you can see my experimental method :-)
@@-Krek Yes, I've seen them and YOU made me buy the Syntakt 3 months ago ... and now maybe the Digitakt ! Who knows ? Are the sounds coming from both machines ? Or from only the Syntakt being controlled by the Digitakt ? This kind of Offbeat Techno is dope. Thanks for sharing.
@KaosEngineering Yes, both machines are playing. The Digitakt is mostly used as a 909 machine, while the Syntakt is used as a synthesizer. However, you can use textures on the Digitakt to add more atmosphere. Especially on the Digitakt2
@@-Krek Thanks for your answers, I wish we could save the generated LFO sequences, that'd be dope. Keep'em comin'. Peace
Thanks bro! You can save them if you record them directly into a DAW. Alternatively, you can record them in the Digitakt.
Nice ! Syntakt or Rytm for a live impro techno setup ?
@@burger659 Both options work
Soo siiccc!! thanks a lot!
Когда выбирал ты инструменты в начале видео , было что-то интересное такое надо писать !!!!))
Это дефолтные звуки, они достаточно скучные :)
Когда выбирал ты инструменты в начале видео , было что-то интересное такое надо писать !!!!))
I take it its coz the lfo is just picking up not retriggered. If so, can you you stop this?
LFO (Low-Frequency Oscillator) is a low-frequency wave with different phases. There are different modes of operation for the LFO. Consequently, when you stop recording and then start again, the wave does not play from a different point. I suppose you can stop this by adjusting the LFO settings
Play*
@-Krek Cool thanks! So, if you find a groove/pattern you like, do you just record it to audio straight away? Seems like a bit of a double edge sword hitting stop and losing the current groove 😂
@@colmanbuckley6646 In an ideal world, your synth should be routed to a DAW, with multitrack recording in real-time. In this video, I was just recording for fun :)
Gotya. Thanks for the info! I just picked one up on thomann 😂
Question, why does the lead sound change everything you stop/start??
Probably the starting point of the lfo is set to behave like this
Class!
Audio out from usb to Ableton ?
Syntakt - usb - iPhone

Real nice!
congrats mate, it's so difficult to see people making real techno with the machines on youtube. This is quality, well done.
Thank you 🙏

Заводит ! Кик балдежный !!
✌😎👍
Me likes, me likes a lot! The same kind of mindfucking hypnotic techno I love.
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked it. I'll be recording a few more videos soon!
Nice an simple old school sounding, the real shit. 👍👍👍
SHREDDING 🖤⚰️
Адские песни из коробок 😅! Зачетно !!
Awesome jam love the energy
Nice Jam! The Syntakt IS a Technomachine!
Thx man!
Thx
:) 🙏
Pure gold, with every video I watch from you the pressure increases to buy the Syntakt haha.
Кик и Басс хороший <3
Thank you 😊
Always welcome. Keep going like that ;) Just subscribed, will wait for more.@@-Krek
Great sound, I need Syntakt too... I have Digitakt Digitone, next step it Octatrack, and AH, but then Syntakt! Subscribed and also hit the bell, do you have links to your music or insta?
You have a good plan, I also want to buy an Octatrack. Thanks for subscribing! My Instagram is in my profile :D
Great sound, I will need to purchase an A4... :D
Нормасик 🎉
Peel that screen protector off it looks awful. Admire the Syntakt in its full glory!
I've been waiting for someone to tell me this! Alright, I'll take it off
@@-Krek make it part of your next video, I'll look forward to watching that so I've subbed 👍🏽
Неплохо! Нужно себе на будильник поставить
what is that
this is techno, bro
Syntakt or digitone for a metal/digital trash project? I love love love my digitone and don’t play live so probably just better to layer it/add more tracks in Logic?
I haven't played with the Digitone, but both synths are interesting
I also multi-track record Syntakt into Ableton
Nice!
Dang Krek! These are fire! Im loving your vids. I read you also have an A4, I'd love to hear of that. Theres so little A4 videos out there
Yes, I'll definitely record A4, a bit later. I also have DFAM + Mother-32 + Subharmonicon, A4, Rytm
@@-Krek Those are good! I started making music only two-3 years ago but I collected a lot of gear. Reface Cs & DX, Roland JX08 & JD08, Minilogue & Monologue, A4, Digitakt & Syntakt and TB03 along with a couple of drum machines. Syntakt seems like it hit the spot for all I need in one box, its amazing
@@neonpop80 Nice gear
You dont need to use the hihats machine given, Ive been using the noise to create them and they sound cleaner.
Yes, I'm still experimenting with the sound, making them from noise is indeed a good idea.
I didnt exaclt get why a new sound was created every time you hit stop then play. Why would the lfo start from a different point?
The LFO starts from a new point because the wave doesn't stop at the initial phase; it's a characteristic of the parameters, try experimenting
Hmm.. I'll watch again and play with it. Inspired some ideas@@-Krek
@@neonpop80 I think it's an interesting approach to creating techno, because techno is like a living mechanism
Agreed! @@-Krek
Wow man. That was awesome! Love the sounds. Was gonna ask if you're new to techno but clearly not. Hope youre enjoying the Syntakt
I'm an enthusiast, but I'd like to release on labels. I need to find time to write good tracks. I like Syntakt
@@-Krek Me too! Im still learning. Check the last video I put up. It's using Syntakt. If you have any tips pls share as Im still beginner level I think

really cool moving machine parts type of beat. Reminds me of spacing out on psychedelics.
Very accurate association
do you multi track via USB? Sounds great as always
Usb - iphone - aum app - camera
Good man yourself
Nice closed hats
i like how you use the kick and hats, but that chord machine is my least favorite thing about the syntakt. the tone sounds like a toy.
Yeah, not everything is perfect, but I'm liking it for now. 😊
The great thing about it is you can use any machine that you do like and duplicate it on any tracks.
it s soo beautiful )
seems to sound much nicer than the Analog Four out of the box.
I've got an A4, it's pretty cool too
@@-Kreki got plenty of kick presets after a little more than a year with the A4. Often i think they lack some quality, but when i listen bak to my recordings the a4 Percs often have a very interesting texture. It is just that it needs another EQ/Comp. And here the Syntakt presents a more balanced sound overall. I don´t know how long it took you to create those sounds, but i´m sure this is quicker than doing the same thing from scratch on the A4. I can easily spend 30 minutes to create a good kick drum.
I don't like the kick in the A4, without additional processing it sounds bad. In the Syntakt, making a kick is indeed much faster and easier, even faster and easier than in the Analog Rytm. But with the A4, you can record a kick into Ableton, make it more powerful, or create a multi-layered kick by combining different ones. What I like the most is creating a kick on the DFAM; it sounds particularly special there
I have both too. Syntakt is just so nice for a techno box, I use A4 to soundscape I guess.
I have the analog keys and i haven't compared them yet but i did compare it to my analog rytm mk1 and the syntakt sounds way better than the Rytm imo
wow, we have such similar taste
sounds fantastic. Any EQ after the Syntakt?
Only syntakt
Nice
this is sick
